Now for the 'meat around the bone', Lincoln, never have we met such a friendly and spontaneous person. Lincoln always has a big smile, makes you feel like family. Bless you, Lincoln, you thorn. The breakfast was affordable and deeply delicious. Thank you, Thandi. We suggest that you perhaps consider serving lunch and dinner to order, that way you don't waste food, do you? My wife had a nice massage at Lesley's. arranged by who else? Lincoln of course. We will definitely be back for seconds.

From the moment we stepped in, we were taken care of. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Manie often came to see if everything was still okay. The breakfast is as they say, "to die for". My wife and I were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and will definitely recommend Kassaboera Lodge to our friends and family. They are very centrally located and it was very quick to get to the mall or any other attractions. Many thanks again to Manie and your staff. You are truly an excellent bunch of people.

The walls are way too thin, two sleepless nights of noisy neighbour's was not pleasant at All. Owners general keep to themselves, no engagement with guests, they are also very loud from their wooden house when there's a televised game. No consideration for customers. Maybe a little bit of engagement with customers will improve the lack of hospitality and timeouts improvement inside the rooms. Generally, the staff that works here, go an extra mile for guests to feel at home.

The most amazing place. We were received by Lincon. With the warmest greeting, he made sure we had an exceptional stay, and the amazing thing was the owners even took time to check on us, the breakfast for just a R100 was great, we didn't want to leave, wil definitely be back.
The area is so good to stay on holiday purposes, situated in a quiet area, maybe in future you may consider having dinner.

Kassaboera is a cute overnight place for a family or friends who want to visit. Stunning pool area and lounge areas. Excellent service and staff and owner are very friendly. Our room was very comfortable, but my parents' room, no. 3, needs work. There was no bathroom door like room 4 and there was black mold in the roof of the shower. Room 4's bath also has a crack in it that needs some love. It was also a shame that the bar and indoor lounge areas were already closed by 7pm on the Saturday night. It looks like one could have a good time there.

Could hear our neighbours talking in the adjoining room. Not much privacy. No food available in the evening (and no Uber Eats either). No communication about the possibility of breakfast. No provisions were made for loadshedding.

Our stay was very pleasant and would stay there again. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The workers were great and we were served very tasty meals. The garden is beautiful and well maintained with a heated swimming pool and several "water features". The fake cement lion at one "water feature" also sometimes roared.

Beautiful place with Harties dam just across the street.
Although the reception was friendly and the room was prepared according to request, there are things that do not make the place 4 star worthy. We understand that costs had to be cut due to COVID, but the bar closes at 19:00 and the bar fridge in the room is empty, there is one coffee per person (2) and one bottle of water per person (2) in the room. If you want something to drink after 19:00, you are out of luck and have to drive to the nearest garage or restaurant. The man who handles reception or check-ins also handles the bar, which makes it difficult if you want to order something to drink, and has to wait until he has finished checking in guests, which can take quite a while. No lunches or dinners are offered, but there are takeaway flyers from whom you can order food for delivery. Breakfast is at R100 per person and consists of a platter, and it was delicious, but not worth the R100 either.
The place was superb - a free breakfast would have done the package a great deal indeed.

The accommodation is right next to the dam although one cannot see the dam very well. It is neat and clean and the pool was lovely. The only bad thing was the 5 dogs that live next door which bothered us a bit during the night.

Duncan received us very kindly and was really helpful. The place is really neat, clean and interestingly laid out. Fair view of the dam from the top floor. Room 11 a bit cramped and TV channels a bit limited. Overall, a really nice place to spend the night.

Service, friendliness, cleanliness and breakfast excellent! Unfortunately, dining room - which shares space with a bar - has a strong musty/smoking smell. I suspect smoking is allowed in the bar in the evening. The smell spoiled a tasty breakfast. I suggest that smoking is only allowed at the outside bar by the pool. Otherwise it's a great place to stay.
The welcome was wonderful and homely. The security was excellent and we felt very safe during our stay. We had a filling and scrumptious breakfast. The area is beautiful and next to the dam.

This place is in a very good location in Harties. All the places are less than about 10 minutes from them depending on the bridge traffic. The biggest thing that stood out to me was the people who work there. Incredibly friendly and just want to make sure you enjoy your stay there.

There was still chocolate paper next to the bed from the previous people, cobwebs on the roof - looks like it's been there for a very long time, bed linen and towels frayed - definitely not up to standard, bottom sheet wrinkled and too small for bed, water bottles in room - fire hot, no washing in the tishkas, no coffee at the kettle, only tea.

Kassaboera Lodge is a beautiful place with very friendly and professional staff. The rooms were comfortable with everything you need and the breakfast every morning in the beautiful dining room was excellent. For such a beautiful place, there should be more focus on maintenance of the premises i.e. the wooden deck upstairs is broken, the cushions of the patio furniture were very dirty, etc. Furthermore, it was very nice and we will definitely stay there again.

The place is beautiful. The room was very noisy with the fact that we were on the ground floor and the people above us were walking a lot or doing something. But I can still handle it. Then something that was totally unacceptable was the fact that the bathroom had a glass door. Sorry, I don't use a toilet in front of my husband and neither does he in front of me. Breakfast was top notch. Would recommend the place to anyone - just do something about the bathroom door.
Person checking us in was very unfriendly and he wasn't aware that full payment was made in advance on the booking, luckily I took a copy of the e-mail showing the payment was done in advance, he didn't seem to believe me. I wasn't shown to my room and was just told its "around the corner", furthermore no explanation to the various amenities available. Some maintenance needs to be done on the room I stayed in ie: cracked basin in the bathroom, walls dirty around the light switches, toilet seat needs to be replaced, air conditioner very noisy and unfortunately no bath. Breakfast was nice.

My spouse and I just broke up for 3 days. The lodge was exactly what we thought, all that was missing were some facilities to be able to eat in the room itself, maybe just a microwave to heat food because only breakfast is provided. Furthermore, it was a very nice and neat getaway. Staff very helpful and friendly.

When we arrived at the destination, we were a bit shocked at how small the space is. All the facilities are just there and not utilized and the pool was dirty. Worst part it is that it is in the middle of a residential area and the hostess would "mistakenly" lock the main door if you return late. Not my kind of place.
The water pounds especially at the front is not running and the water is dirty. The guests must be told about the rooms with baths and showers. There must be food service from breakfast until supper as most of us come to relax not to travel around looking for something to eat. The parking space is limited and some drivers might bump other vehicles even if there are cameras. Reception area is not welcoming with no seats reserved or drinks even just ordinary water. I will still visit the place.

Kassaboera Lodge is a very nice and well located guest house. The people are all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast every morning is delicious and the atmosphere wonderful. The rooms are comfortable and everything you need is there. The bathroom shower did not have a shower head, but we managed without it. For such a beautiful place, there should be more focus on the cleaning process. Other than that it was very nice and I will definitely stay there again.

Kasaboera compares to a five-star place. It's beautiful and their service and hospitality are top quality!
The idea to have glass walls separating rooms with toilet/bathrooms, is out of order. Even though people may be spouses, lovers, or mates, they need to have their privacy when they use toilets/bathrooms. The super thing at Kassaboera is the breakfast, the highly courteous Malawian gentleman who attends to you at the table; and the admirably friendly senior gentleman who always greets you and engages briefly, on your way to the breakast and back. Amanda, the owner, also carries herself very professionally at breakfast. She dresses very sharp and 'cool', no flip-flops or pyjamas etc.
The food is very well served, and the staff are very friendly and very attentive. This is really a guest house that is recommended with great honesty. Very neat.

Slept and ate very well. However, the water pressure is very weak; we couldn't always shower.
Lovely accommodation, just a lot of flying insects because property is right next to the dam. The roads to Kassaboera from the main road have a lot of potholes, so watch out at night. Parking a bit of a problem when fully booked. Lovely staff, pleasant stay.
A beautiful place, but because there is a thatched roof, it is not well sealed at the top of the walls. I would love to go again, but the fact that the rooms are not soundproof put us off, because one goes away to be able to sleep well in the most luxurious surroundings.
I would love to visit again. If they could add super sport and sort channels to their current tv list, that would be great!

The glass door and windows of the bathroom could have caused a problem seeing as I slept over with my son. However, Tanya was very helpful and offered an available room for my son. We really appreciated it and will definitely recommend the place to friends. The setting and garden are beautiful and very creative. Thank you for your friendly and good service.
We were a little disappointed that there was no one at Reception. One of the workers received us and directed us to our room, and was not quite sure about everything. But the room and breakfast were excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay there again.

The Kassaboera Lodge at the Hartbeespoort Dam area is one of the best choice for holiday traveler. Because the Lodge is located nearby the Dam and the rooms of the Lodge are well furnished with TV, Fridge and towels etc. We will certainly stay at the Lodge again for future visits.
