Kettle Guest Lodge is situated in Rustenburg in the North West province of South Africa and offers fully furnished self-catering accommodation. It is the ideal accommodation option for families, friends, reps, social groups, single persons, couples, sport or church groups, contractors and students.

Accommodation comprises various different sized self-catering houses that can accommodate between 1 to 8 guests persons in a fully furnished unit.

Please note that the house booked is entirely for the guests' use only for the duration of their stay, guests don't share with other guests.

In front of each unit area table, chairs and braai facilities.

The Houses are all close to each other but still very private and secure. Each house features a kitchen equipped with a stove, microwave, fridge with freezer, a bedroom, living area, bathroom and everything else guests might need for self-catering purposes. If toddlers and babies no longer wear nappies, if needed, a plastic base mattress protector can be provided, please enquire.

Meals can be supplied on request to larger groups, such as students or contractors staying for a longer period.

Guests can look forward to a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere with large established gardens with abundant bird life. On the premises, guests will also find a golf driving range close to the main gate and a lovely restaurant is within close proximity from Kettle Guest Lodge.

Kettle Guest Lodge is the perfect option for visitors to Sun City which is only a 32-kilometers drive away. The Pilanesberg Nature Reserve is just 5 km past Sun City.

There is a mall, Spar and other shopping facilities close by.

First you had to ask for the air conditioner remote control, nowhere is there a note on the wall or where you can see you have to specifically ask for it. And the first night I almost died from the heat. The people are very unfriendly.

Upon our arrival we were kindly greeted and shown houses. Our stay was wonderful, quiet and peaceful atmosphere, the children ran around and played without having to be watched all the time. Very safe. Would definitely recommend Kettle Guest Lodge and we will stay there again in the future.

The owner was very friendly. The place is clean and neat. It is self-catering, but there is coffee, tea, sugar, milk, dishwashing liquid and clothes. There was an iron and ironing board. They had a light in case the power is off. The bedroom had lots of pillows and extra blankets in case it gets very cold. I would definitely recommend this lodge.

The unit is so well furnished, that one will be able to stay long-term. Quiet environment. Friendly service. No WiFi offered, but we didn't ask either. Although there is room for 6 to sleep, there are only 4 easy chairs.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner who was very eager to answer our questions. The accommodation was extremely neat and clean, spacious and comfortable. Felt like a home away from home. Sorry WiFi was not available but owner mentioned they are working on it. Thank you for the effort and consideration we experienced.

Advertisement misleading, says two bedrooms, one bed however part of living room. Quiet environment, cottage could be attended to, kitchen not clean, old used washcloth for dishes, kettle handle fixed with something, no braai although the owner dragged us a braai closer. Nothing to clean grill with.

The house is beautiful, clean and fully equipped. There is an ironing board, iron and a washing machine.

"Reservation with deposit paid is no guarantee they have the accommodation you booked."

On arriving at the lodge with 2 days of fresh groceries in our car we were told that the accommodation we booked (a self-catering chalet) wasn't available. They wanted to move us to a neighbouring 1-room B&B without self-catering facilities and as compensation they would provide the meals. We weren't particularly amused with all this and after a lot of confusing talk we ended up in a chalet at the neighbours. My main complaint is that they apparently overbooked the accommodation!

There was coffee and tea with sugar and milk at the rondavel. Very nice place and lodges were nice clean and spacious. The lodges are far enough apart so that there is enough privacy for everyone. Everything safe, even for the car.

The guest lodge is in the bush giving you a feel of nature and quietness. My friends and I loved every minute of being there. The peace is just amazing. The house is very neat and clean and very big especially if you're travelling with a group of friends and want to have your own space where you can braai, have fun and not be disturbed by invaders. The lodge is very safe and big so walking around gives so much pleasure. The staff are so wonderful and welcoming, the owner is just so pleasant. If you want to go to a place where diversity is valued then this is the place. We will definitely go there again.

We enjoyed our stay with kids there, the place is so quiet and has a very beautiful garden where you can chill while having drinks. Only a kids playground is missing, but overall it was a fantastic place. I recommend it to everyone.

We were pleasantly surprised when we found Kettle Guest Lodge, as it was nothing like what we expected. I was travelling with family, attending an event at Sun City. We were concerned about the location and the website doesn't show the full picture of the place. But the lodge is very nice and it's only about 30 minute drive to Sun City. The rooms are spacious and clean. Evelyn knows how to make her guests feel welcome. We only stayed for one night but would definitely recommend the place to friends. Definitely going back. Kettle Lodge gave us more than we asked for - beautiful home environment that made us enjoy our stay. Could be better though if there could be outdoor activities, like swings, jungle gym, etc. for kids so that they are not confined inside the house.

I stayed at the Kettle Guest Lodge for the weekend. It was really a peaceful stay away from the busy Johannesburg. They were very helpful and patient over the phone when I got lost. I met one of the owners (Evelyn) and she is a friendly person that enjoys people's company. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants peace of mind. The Waterfall shopping centre is approximately a 10 minute drive away and Sun City is also not far off. Thank you Evelyn and your husband for your kindness.

Just some improvement recommendations: a fan for each room would be great, my son was so hot in that back room. The bathroom is very small for 4 persons sharing, let alone for up to 7 people sharing. Having no shower was a big drawback for a family who only shower.

Kettle Lodge is run by a friendly accommodating family. They are not invasive but check regularly to see you have everything you require. There concern and attention to detail to ensure you have a good holiday is more than you receive at some self catering places. It is like home from home, it is not a bare impersonal unit, there is not one item that one can think of that has not been provided. The furnishings and facilities are modern and well maintained. There is so much attention to detail that from the time you arrive you feel at home, you are inclined to treat it as your own and want to make sure at all times that nothing gets damaged. There was night security to give one peace of mind. The gardens are so well laid out that each unit has privacy, so one is not aware that there are other people staying there. One can wonder freely through the gardens without having to intrude on the other units, which enables you to respect each others privacy. I will definitely go there again.

"Terrific find, warm and friendly hosts"

We spent two nights with our grandson of 10 years. Excellent value for money, spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished with love, pride and attention to detail. Beautiful gardens and friendly hosts. One thing marred our stay was that our grandson had been jumping on a trampoline on the property for two days in a row without being stopped, thinking it was part of the facility. He made a tiny hole in the net that a catgut stitch will mend - however, the owners and hosts called us and were extremely upset as it wasn't their trampoline! Had we known that the neighbours were permanent and the trampoline did not belong to the establishment we would never have allowed our grandson to use it. The incident upset us all and we would ask that in future, a notice is left saying private property - or move the trampoline away from the public gaze, to avoid misunderstandings. Other than that it was a terrific find and a great place to stay.
