The house was super clean and beautifully furnished.
It was a very pleasant overnight stay. The barbecue patio has a wonderful view and the children frolicked on the extensive green lawns.

This is a gem of a place. For us, halfway between Cape Town and Hogsback, on the N9. A warm welcome from Deon (the owner), the accommodation was spotless and stylish. We had everything we needed, and it was clear much thought had gone into the design and layout. The shower was perfect. We enjoyed a braai, watched the sunset, and slept well on the comfortable bed.
Very nice stay. Nice barbecue and hanging out with children. Beautiful views of mountains and rooms large and spacious. Will use the accommodation again anytime.

It was my first time visiting that area. The people of Keurfontein are friendly and very hospitable. We had a nice cottage that looked out over the countryside. The kitchen was well equipped. In the room was a fireplace already packed with wood and ready to light. It made the room wonderfully warm and cosy. The outside braai was also ready to just light up. Sophies Place is the restaurant at Keurfontein that offers delicious meals, cake and breakfast. Everything very elegant and tasty. It has a special atmosphere with all the beautiful and interesting things that are displayed and used there. We felt very at home and welcome.
There was no sign of a welcome! We had to ask other guests where to go to find the hostess. Hot beer served, no excuses. Got dinner at 5 o'clock, ridiculous, booked 2xete, order wrong, didn't get salad. We felt very unsafe that night. No security. The front door's lock is so broken, one can enter with no difficulty. In this time we live in, shocking! One cannot run a place and rely only on a name. The guest pays and must then be served accordingly!
We only stayed 1 night after walking the Leopard Trail in Baviaans and rested and slept very well.
An amazing relaxed atmosphere. Very clean and spacious rooms. Supper was perfect and well done. It was presented like a proper hotel display. The swimming pool requires attention. MMaybe convert to natural pond.

They were waiting at restaurant for us to order soon. Food from Sophie's Choice was delicious and atmosphere something out of another world.
A wonderful gem that has everything one could expect. From friendly hospitality, a neat, spacious and clean room with attention paid to the smallest detail, to the hearty Klein Karoo dinner at Sophies Choice. We have already made arrangements for a longer visit with the children and grandchildren at Keurfontein.
It was a lovely place to stay over at with a beautiful view and very friendly, helpful service. Wonderful restaurant with delicious food and coffee. Keurfontein Country House is a hidden gem between somewhere and nowhere. We would definitely like to visit there again.

We were very satisfied with Keurfontein - from the friendly reception, neat and clean rooms to the delicious dinner in the restaurant.
We were traveling with our two big dogs so looked for a pet friendly place to stay. Keurfontein is lovely for dogs as you are greeted by tons of small dogs when you arrive. If you don't like dogs, be warned. And also be careful if your dogs are not socialized because it was a very happy greeting. The welcome is great and we were personally shown to our room. We stayed in cottage/room 4. The room is huge with a king size bed, small kitchenette and a bathroom. The bed, pillows and duvet were amazing. We had a very comfortable sleep. Unfortunately there were a few issues which I have already advised Keurfontein about. The main light/fan of the room wasn't working which for us staying one night in spring was not an issue but if someone stays longer and in summer it would have been. The bathroom has a shower over the bath but no shower curtain and the shower head is too low for anyone over 5 foot 9 tall to stand under. As a result after two showers we had flooded the bathroom. There was no second toilet roll in the bathroom either and we arrived to a half one. There is also no handle on the bathroom door on the inside, just a sliding lock. The rate is self catering which we found slightly on the high side.
We loved our stay at Keurfontein. Next time we would definitely spend more time there. There's a pool for the kids, dams with geese, a stunning antique shop, and the most delicious food ever! On our list to return to.
Website was very deceiving and deceptive. The photos shown on the website was not what was offered in our room. The interior seemed to be an after thought with all their secondhand furniture and nothing matched. The bed was fine but that was it. The room was clean. Neglected - bathroom/toilet door couldn’t close at all. Braai area was in kind of a backyard and below the sitting area between not very neat grass surroundings. Very few amenities - no dishcloth, no soap in bathroom, one TV channel controlled by someone else, and no clear view on TV. TV was placed on a small bedside table, I mean really?! No personal touch. I could never in good consciousness recommend this place to anyone and will never return.
Would not recommend. Plekkie has a lot of potential but needs a lot of attention.

Very good, spacious accommodation, well located between Overberg and the Free State. Friendly reception that made us feel very much at home and when we had problems with the water it was immediately addressed and sorted out. We enjoyed an excellent mutton curry at a reasonable additional cost. We will definitely use Keurfontein again if we travel in that direction.
Difficulty getting gate opened. Had to honk a few times. Real unit was not available. TV only has one channel and in a corner, making it hard to see anything from your bed. TV is small and can't see well from bed. Dinner and breakfast were good. Wanted to pay for meals in the morning but had trouble getting someone to help me. I had to help the person with the card machine. Didn't know how it worked. Costs were simply written on a piece of paper. While we were busy with dinner that evening, guests also arrived who struggled with access at the gate. Their booking was also wrong! Do not recommend the place at all.
Can change to the shower in the bath which with use makes the bathroom floor very wet. Furthermore very lovely and beautiful place will visit and recommend it again anytime.
We had such a good time at Keurfontein. We were received very kindly. The guesthouse itself had everything we needed. We also had a nice breakfast at Sophies Choice who is also the owner of Keurfontein. Sophia and her husband had been very hospitable. It had been a wonderful experience.
Site untidy. Furniture at braai area was battered. Insufficient braai facilities. Workers slept on couches at communal braai area during lunch.
We didn't stay long enough to enjoy it properly; hopefully there will be a next time with more time!

Very nice to explore Willowmore, Uniondale and Baviaanskloof. The bedroom and bathroom is spacious, I would just suggest getting a shower curtain, but the bath is lovely. The "kitchen" isn't really equipped for self-catering. It definitely needs a stove and a bigger fridge, etc. I will definitely recommend it for an overnight place.

We were immediately warmly received by the guest farm's manager Dot. The room is large with very nice furniture in it. The bathroom is large and comfortable.

Easy to find, just outside of Willowmore on the way to Uniondale. Beautiful surroundings, quiet and perfect for a peaceful night. Hot water, soft bed, good linen, well-equipped kitchenette and a delicious barbecue area next to a pond with geese and ducks.

We enjoyed our stay with Dot. The house is well situated, close to the road for overnight stays. Short distance from Willowmore and ideal if you are going on to Baviaanskloof.
Quiet farm atmosphere that can be experienced on the main road. This further facilitates the journey as you are immediately back on the main route upon departure.
We had a great stay and were received very hospitably. The meal we enjoyed in the town in the guest house there was excellent, as was the breakfast the next morning at Sophies Choice. Will definitely use it again.
