12 guests' feedbackPoor service at hotel reception. Very limited TV channels in the room. The directions to the hotel lead you to the restaurant, which has a different entrance (Jim van der Merwe Street) than that of the hotel. The hotel entrance is in Lyttelton Avenue. Upon arrival, our room was not ready. Check-in time is 14h00. We arrived around 15h00, and the room was not yet ready. The ladies at reception looked at each other and then directed us to sit and wait on a sofa. No explanation was offered. Eventually, the porter showed us to our room. This was one of the worst receptions ever. The food in the restaurant was excellent, and the breakfast one of the best. The advertisement states: "There is also a TV in the room." However, the channels are so limited that it is not worth it to even switch on the TV. We had to watch the World Cup semi-final in the restaurant. The bar was occupied by the guests who were attending a wedding. My experience was that the hotel caters primarily for guests attending wedding functions.
Kleinkaap makes the guests feel like they are in the heart of the Cape.

Had a great time. Nice old world feel. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Little things need attention: Soup spoon covered at breakfast instead of a regular spoon. Did pass on the following after receiving: Water only slightly warm, bath pipes leaking under bath. They provide only 1 single bed blanket (Queen bed). Because we cannot sleep with an air conditioner, the blankets are too few for cold evenings.
The rooms are incredibly beautiful and large. The children were crazy about the accommodation with chickens, etc.

We are big Hotel viewers (the TV series) and would at least like to see an area in the hotel that tells more about Klein Kaap's connection with the TV series. And we would like instead Wanted DSTV in the rooms, Netflix and Showmax. DStv is outdated.
Slightly disappointed when we could not use the outside restaurant area after our arrival, this due to a wedding I would suggest that alternative arrangements are made for guests who prefer to sit outside. However, we discussed our disappointment with Anne, the restaurant manager, and were treated very special at breakfast with a table especially for us. The food is amazing.
Although it is a lovely place , the room and the hotel was far too cold to be comfortable. One does not expect this from a four star establishment
What a pleasure. We were received by very friendly staff and taken to our massive room. When we entered the room, a feeling of "welcomeness" washed over us. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The bed with the fluffy duvet and lovely bedding ensured a good night's rest. The dinner was exceptional, I enjoyed, Karoo lamb and it was the best I ever had. The staff serving us were very friendly and helpful and we could even enjoy our last coffee by the fireplace. What a relaxing experience. After a good night's rest we headed to the breakfast table where we could enjoy anything we wanted, once again the friendliest staff and delicious food! It was lovely in Kleinkaap, just 12 minutes from my house.
My only recommendation would be that they put free Wi-Fi in the rooms and an amplifier for mobile phone signals. In this type of hotel, one expects that the Wi-Fi would at least be available for free to be able to read e-mails, especially for businessmen who are staying there.
