62 guests' feedbackWow! This gem of a place was. All the workers were so friendly and helpful. If there was anything we requested or needed, they sorted it out with no questions or concerns. Being in nature with the gorgeous animals, watching them feed the lions was something spectacular. We stayed at the accommodation and it was an excellent location with a group of friends or family. I highly recommend this place for anyone! Thank you for the amazing time!
The stay was good. Service from the host was top notch. The kitchen could do with some TLC. Some of the drawers and doors are not functioning as they should, and the utensils supplied did not match the inventory (this was sorted out by the host). The stay was marred by the owners' kids riding the quadbike past our chalet and setting off crackers on the evening of the 30th. This was followed by fireworks at midnight on the 30th. It would appear that when the owners of the lodge are there, they are more important than their paying guests. For future visitors, they don't supply towels or loo rolls.
Fantastic environment, amazing experience with the lions but unfortunately not clean and couldn't sleep in the chalet at all.
I am not going to comment.
Firstly the service was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially Steven, my 2 year old son adored him so much, and was following him around. The experience with the lion and tiger cubs was phenomenal and surreal. Walking with the lions was an exciting moment. I will definitely recommend the place to people and visit again.
Emty pool. Roof leaks when in rains. Aircons not working. Warm water isue in bathroom. No water in kitchen at all.

Perfect for a weekend away from the city life.
On arrival, veranda was not swept and dishes were left in the drying rack. No microwave in the chalet as advertised. Cutlery and crockery was sticky and dirty and had to be washed before using. No dishcloth for drying dishes. Cloth for washing dishes was filthy and smelling. No bowl to even make a salad. Definitely not self-catering. Bar fridge had no shelves in and all food had to be stacked on top of each other. The restaurants kitchen that we were allowed to use was filthy when we wanted to make breakfast. The chalet itself is definitely not equipped to be a self-catering unit. The communal lounge area as advertised on the website was occupied by the staff working there. We were not even informed that we could use this area when we arrived. Only after making a remark to one of the groundsmen, did he inform us that the lounge area is meant for the guests, yet the staff residing on the premises were occupying this area all the time. On one evening, people were even sleeping on the couches in the lounge area. During a thunderstorm, the electricity went out. There were no candles nor lamps in our chalet. The staff that were occupying the lounge area went and fetched lamps for themselves and left the guests sitting in the dark without even telling us where to go find a lamp. Absolutely shocking to say the least. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We were bitterly disappointed and felt more like we were in a caravan park than in a luxurious resort. The only positive thing I can say about this place is the friendliness of Wilma and the love she has for the cubs.

We lived in the Giraffe complex. It was wonderful, away from people, with only the roar of the lions in the cages nearby to keep you awake and aware of the nature around you. Enjoyed visiting lion cages. Wonderful weekend!
Great seeing the lions. But not self-catering at all.
The bedding, carpets was dirty, matres so uncomfortable we could not sleep. We will definitely not recommend this and surely not worth the money paid.

Very friendly from the time we checked in until we left the service was good. Neat, clean and friendly.
Regardless of the drought the country is experiencing, it was still an experience. Staff are friendly and if there was a request they helped. Pool is just big enough for cooling off. All I can suggest is that they should get an umbrella for each unit. If we didn't have the one from the pool, we would have been limited to the unit.

The finishes are old fashioned and look vandalized. I would rather come and visit the lions as a day visitor instead of staying the night there again.
You should take a good look at your place and staff - it has a lot of potential. We were received very kindly by 3 young people. I have booked 2 "bungalows", each of which sleeps 2 people. When we got there there was 1 "bungalow" with 4 beds. We had to wait until they cleaned the other "bungalow" first. You could see that Yolandie takes very good care of her cats and makes a lot of effort to give information. Thank you very much! For the price, the bedding and mattresses could definitely improve. Beautiful place, but one can see no money is put back into the business.

We had a wonderful time at Kudu's Rus! The lions and the other cats were fantastic and Yolandi made our stay so memorable, she was full of information and so gifted with the wild cats. I would highly recommend a weekend here! Nice location not far from the Pilanesberg Reserve that we wanted to visit.
Kudu's Rus is ideally located, but the lodge itself does not justify the R800 per night. The rooms can easily be 'renovated'. We booked a room with a double bed and we got 2 single beds. The shower is very sloppy and the door does not close properly. The first morning's breakfast was also not up to standard, but the second day's breakfast was perfect and tasty. If you are already paying R800 per night per room and the rooms are of the current standard at Kudu's Rus, you at least expect that something - like going to see the lions - will be free and not an additional cost of does not amount to R100 per person. The fact that there were young lions being raised in the camp/lodge did make up for the inconvenience of the facilities. Kudu's Rus has a lot of potential, but the way things look now I won't be returning there anytime soon.
Reception and hospitality were very pleasant. I feel for the price there could at least be an extra roll of toilet paper, especially if the first roll is not full and is left over from the previous guests. A little soap by the sink with a towel would help quite a bit, especially if you wanted to wash your hands quickly before you even opened your suitcase. The breakfast was delicious and the young people very pleasant. Thank you very much.
We will definitely be going back to Kudus Rus in the future.
House is very cozy and comfortable. Would like to have my own braai place because the portable one in the braai area smokes you out. Fantastic setting, comfortable host and lovely breakfast. Would recommend to anyone.
The place is very wonderful, for those days when you want to relax, coming back again to see how big are the crocodiles.
I would recommend Kudu's Rus because of the lions, breakfast & surroundings. However, from a cleanliness perspective not at all! Linen was not changed, bugs all over the kitchen counters, microwave, fridge, etc. as well as spiders and small insects all over the place - so I am a bit skeptical regarding cleanliness. My one friend did complain directly with Andries about this while we were there.

We had a nice welcome at Kudus - they prepared fire for us to braai and they show us the surroundings. The animals they have such as lions, are my interest. We enjoyed ourselves there. I'm thinking of going back there again.
It was a wonderful week, we enjoyed the time to rest. The Jacuzzi and lion cups were definitely a highlight. It is just the road to get there that is bad, but if we had a bakkie it wouldn't have been that big of a problem. The chalet was very nice and clean.
It was a lovely little place to unwind away from it all. Not far from Sun City. The lion enclosure was also an amazing surprise!

Enjoyed stay. Road to Kudus Rus in bad condition but this work in my favour - as with it in this way they won't become too commercialized .

We really enjoyed our stay and are thinking or doing it again. The location is the best we've found in proximity to Sun City and game travels. The staff and the way they do business around the lodge made it worthwhile - your jacuzzi is the best, and the cleanliness A1.

We received very good service at Kudu's Rus - but would recommend petitioning the government to tar the road into the area.
The team at Kudu's rest really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. My team and I worked ridiculously long hours and it was fantastic to come back to a large camp fire, clean rooms, clean pool and smiling faces. It was a good trip for us!
Kudu's Rus Game Lodge is a nice place to stay at, however I would recommend that people traveling on the gravel road need a 4 X 4. Otherwise we would suggest they maybe fix the road so its more user friendly.

I would recommend Kudus Rus Lodge to anyone who is looking for a quite weekend away from the busy life of the city. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and the room was clean. I can't find a single fault with them whatsoever.
We really enjoyed our stay at this bush camp. Accommodation is excellent and the service is also very good.
We were welcomed by a friendly owner, his wife and staff. Our stay was very pleasant and we felt at home in the tranquil bushveld atmosphere. We will defenitely be back.
