Very good, staff was friendly and helpful.
Good value for money, clean and tidy.
Was delicious. Would only help if there was a freezer, as we were staying overnight on our way to our holiday, with all our meat.

We arrived at 1:50pm and wanted to check in after long hours on the road. The receptionist said we can only check in from 14:00 and also informed us that our room is not ready due to the day's loadshedding. She recommended a place to eat where we could have eaten. The room has everything you need, such as a coffee station, small fridge and air conditioning as well as light for load shedding. We slept well and I do feel that the quality of the towels is no longer a threat to guests.
We were a family of 5 and had a great stay. Would definitely recommend Kwela Bed and Breakfast. The air conditioning in the room we stayed in unfortunately wasted a lot of water. Couldn't have reported it unfortunately as we were driving early the next morning, before the office was open.

It was clean and tidy. It is on the main road, so early in the morning you hear the traffic. The staff were friendly and made you feel at home.

Slept over one night on the way to the Eastern Cape. An extra mattress was brought in for us which we really appreciated. Everything was neat and clean.
Room was nicely furnished and spacious enough to accommodate the 4 of us. Lovely hot water to shower in. There is a small fridge to store provisions. Coming from a farm where silence reigns, the passing traffic was quite a noise to face, but because the curtains made the room nice and dark, the commotion was soon forgotten. If I can make a suggestion, a bigger shelf or table in the bathroom would help. Thanks, we'll pop in again when we have sport in Aliwal North.
This was the second time we used Kwela's facilities. Comfortable beds with plenty of space in the room to accommodate 4 people comfortably. Large bathroom with comfortable shower! Would recommend Kwela anytime for an overnight stop on the way to the Cape.

Welcoming friendly and quick. The room is conveniently equipped with everything that you need. Just the shower door did not open up enough by the basin.
Our room was adequate although the one hot blanket didn't work and we didn't have enough towels in the room either. My mother was also with her and where she slept was near the lapa and the people were incredibly noisy that evening until after midnight.
Unit neat and luxurious. Just a pity the air conditioner didn't work as it was a very hot day and night.

Friendly welcome. Comfortable rooms, although family member stated that the mattress in room 2 was lumpy and uncomfortable. But otherwise it's a lovely place to stay over.
The room was clean and tidy. However, there were no towel rails to hang our towels. We had to find water in the bathroom to make coffee and wash cups. There is no small sink in the room itself.
Room needs physical renovation work - cracks in wall and water damage on floor at entrance.
We really appreciated the friendly reception and lovely stay. The management can only please note that the shower's cold water tap did not work. And that the outside light shines too brightly into the room which makes sleep a little uncomfortable. But otherwise we can recommend the cute little place.

We had a nice stay at Kwela, everything is comfortable and tidy. We thought that the breakfast was included, but we had to pay extra for it. We assumed if it was a B&B, breakfast was included.

My husband and I booked 2 nights in one of the Executive Rooms. Upon arrival, they informed us that the specific room I had booked was no longer available, but they could accommodate us with another Executive room. The rooms are very neat, had a bath and shower and are located right next to the pool and lapa. Our car had secure parking and we were given a remote control for the gate to come and go. We were very satisfied with their customer service, they helped us very quickly with candles and later a generator when the power went out in Aliwal! Our stay was definitely value for money and we would stay here again anytime. Thank you very much LekkeSlaap for the fast service! (I booked our accommodation for that same night on Friday morning at 06:00 AM!)

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a better room when they heard we are on honeymoon. The hostess went out of her way and arranged with the gholf course to help us, when she heard I like gholf. It was super great, and the breakfast delicious, thank you very much Kwela.

Not very nice to fight your way under and through the washing lines to the rooms. The harsh lights outside, which shines right on room 6 is annoying and the room's shower need serious attention.
We had a lovely stay and relaxed in the lapa just outside our room. The room is well equipped and has a fantastic bed, everything just very nice.
We were under the impression that breakfast was included for the price we paid, but we had to pay extra for breakfast.

Calm, friendly atmosphere.
We traveled 6200 km across South Africa and stayed every night in a B&B, guest house and other such type of places. Unfortunately, Kwela did not meet our requirements, as we had originally set the following conditions when booking. 1. It should have been at ground level. 2.It had to have a shower. 3. It had to have two separate beds. The room was advertised as a double room, which it was not at all. It was small with two single beds right up against each other. Although it was on the ground level, there were many stairs to climb before you could get into the room. The above we were able to deal with but the following is unacceptable to me and I took photos on my iPhone to substantiate my complaint. It is unacceptable for the owner's two dogs to have access to the unit being let out. The dogs messed up the whole world right outside the room which is a health risk. The owner's trailer with construction debris and paint is right outside and right in the middle of the view from the room. It makes it look very untidy.
