Felicity, the owner of La Vie Gastehuis, welcomed us. We really enjoyed our stay. The place is beautiful and very clean. We will definitely book there again.
Felicity is a lovely hostess, who checks on guests and their comfort regularly. The permanent residents on the property are a friendly crew, who also make you feel welcome. This is an ideal spot for a single/couple as an overnight stay.
It was nice for us to spend the night there. Milk for coffee was just sour, but the rest was fancy, thanks.
Hosts were so friendly, felt at home.

Everything was well arranged, clean and tidy. Comfortable accommodation for overnight visit.
We had a wonderful and cozy visit in the rainy weather. The bulb that blew in the evening was replaced early the next day. We were impressed with the way they marketed their town and surroundings. Owners also have a very cute coffee shop in Landdrosstraat. We felt that the key box in which you have to put the key when you leave is a bit far from the gate as you have to close the gate with the remote control and then exit the gate quickly.

It was neat and clean. Only problem was that someone was in our room during the day and didn't lock the door again. These are not cleaners as the trash etc. was still left like that.
Everything was very neat. Would recommend the following: Something to hold on to in the bath as the bath is very low and difficult to stand up without something to hold on to. Replace the hand shower, it leaks a lot. There had been no complimentary soaps. Fan in the room moves pretty loose when turned on and blowing. A drying rack to put the dishes on. Other than that, everything was very pleasant. Thank you very much.

Beautiful accommodation that is well located. Neat with everything you need for an overnight stay. The owners are very accommodating, friendly and helpful.
The place is clean and has all the basic necessities to get by for a weekend. Enjoyed the little details like heart stickers on the tip of toilet paper. The 3 of us had a nice stay and went out for the day to Pilanesberg and Sun City.

The owner of the place was nice the first day we checked in, or pretended to be until she made a mistake with our booking. She came with what appeared to be a bouncer during the day, I was sitting outside, she approached me rudely, told me we were supposed to check out that day, claimed our days were finished. Ssupposed to be long gone because our stay was over, told us to leave and that there's new people that are coming over. This was on our 7th day. We were supposed to checkout the following day. We felt so unwelcome after that, our day was wasted as we did not enjoy that day, yet we paid in full for all those 7 nights. She came back said she made a mistake and blamed the mess up on someone else, and even after that not-so-genuine apology said we still need to make sure we are gone by the checkout time which is 10:00 like we didn't already know. We even checked out way earlier than we we're supposed to after being spoken to like we stayed there for free. We hardly had any encounter with her throughout the stay, made no noise, no mess, as we stayed indoors most of the time due to weather conditions so she had absolutely no reason to be that rude to us. We left that place very disappointed because of her behaviour considering we had planned to go back, but won't be doing that anymore. Interestingly the new people she claimed were coming never came and she had a similar cabin next to ours, same price that those people could have stayed in. She was just being plain rude. We paid all that money and got treated so badly over nothing. Don't waste your money.

La Vie is a wonderful guesthouse for overnight stays in Rustenburg. My fiance and I stayed there for two days and were absolutely at ease. Everything we needed was there and the owner assisted us kindly when we had questions / requests. She will go out of her way to help you with the smallest thing, even if it's just a pinch of salt! We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this place to others!

We attended a course in Rustenburg and were a few minutes' drive from the course venue. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner. As a place to stay we didn't need anything more. Our hostess inquired about our well-being every day and made sure that all our needs were met. I will definitely stay there again.
