All the self-catering chalets and rooms are air-conditioned and have kitchenettes equipped with fridge-freezers, stoves, microwaves, kettles and toasters. Guests can relax in the comfortable lounge areas or in the indoor braai area. Each chalet has a bathroom with a shower, towels and bathroom amenities. Conveniently located near Augrabies Valle and Kakamas town.
The self-catering units #3 and #4 have a central door link that turns them into a comfortable two-bedroom apartment. The coffee and biscuit station was definitely a winner. The kitchen has sufficient utensils as well as a stove and microwave, the fridge was packed with ice and delicious cold water. Braai facilities with standing grill very convenient. From the patio we could keep an eye on children playing on the grass terrace and swimming in the lake. Two friendly farm dogs made us feel very much at home.
Accommodation is very comfortable, but the people who work there are out of the books. Had a great meal while the kids played. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is great.

Friendly reception, accommodation was great. Air conditioning was a pain in the heat. The service at the restaurant was friendly and excellent and the meal was excellent.
First, our Chalet house's shower was dirty with old soap from previous visitors. The second bedroom's light did not work, the toilet seat is loose, cupboard hinges are loose. The pieces of glass and beer corks from previous visitors lay in the sand in front of the house, where I had to watch all the time if my children put them in their mouths! After the first night, 3 cleaners came to clean and I still had to show them where the shower was still dirty and the stove hadn't been cleaned. I also had to wash dirty paddles the night before that they didn't clean properly. We were then moved to a luxury unit, where we paid the same price as a two bedroom chalet, but there is only an open plan sitting/kitchen/sleeping area! With a luxurious single plate electric stove. The microwave, kettle and stove work with 1 power point. We slept 2 adults and 2 children on a double bed, very luxurious! Poor management and not keeping an eye on the place themselves cause people not to return.

Perfect stop if en route to Augrabies Falls. We really enjoyed it. The children could enjoy themselves and even the dogs could go along.
Was our first stop to Kgalagadi, cottage is very well furnished. Close to the town and other sights such as the Augrabies Waterfall. Service was good.
We were kindly received. Our room and bathroom were comfortable. It was a peaceful and quiet evening. The next morning we enjoyed breakfast. And then leave for a visit to the Augrabies Waterfall. Overnight stay was comfortable, clean and satisfactory.

We specifically asked for privacy. On our arrival we are informed that there is going to be a big party for the young people who work in the packing season. Soon after, a noisy group that comes packing. The owner could have informed us about the party. I don't begrudge the young people they visit but who wants to listen to their noise all night? We packed up the farm and drove home through the night. Will make no effort to promote their amenities. Shared facilities. Not even a seat inside the unit. Who sits outside in 37 degree heat? Definitely a waste of money. It's unreasonable of Lake Grappa to expect us to crash their parties. After all, that's not what we stayed there for.

Lovely by the dam. Normally calm and relaxing. Currently, trucks are moving up and down for upgrading, as well as improvement purposes, but everything will return to normal. Not really that big of a headache. Third visit to Lake Grappa and will visit again on the next Kalahari trip.

It was a good experience, was dead quiet and very peaceful.
We were pleasantly surprised with the chalet (we were in no. 4) - air conditioning, kitchen with a nice big table, indoor barbecue if the wind was bothersome or it rained, nice and comfortable double bed and a bathroom with shower. But there were still some negative aspects in our chalet that I would like to mention: 1. Some of the blinds could not be opened and closed with the strings - one had to physically grasp and manipulate the strings connected to the blinds. 2. The mat lying on the ground in front of the shower is in the way if one wants to close the door. 3. There is nowhere to put the toiletries - a shelf of some kind could work there so that one does not have to put the things on the windowsill. 4. The shower has no place to put one's soap! There is also no shelf for shampoo etc. on, with the result that one has to put it on top of the wall. The problem is that not everyone is tall enough to get up there! 5. My biggest problem was the shower (and to a lesser extent the sink) water not being hot for more than 10 seconds. Every time the water is just right so that one does not burn under the hot water, the water becomes cold again.
We are very surprised with what we got for the price! Absolute value for money. Very tidy, everything you need for a short stay. Indoor braai bonus if the wind blows. Restaurant menu even better than the Spur. Staff friendly and helpful.

Very neat place, will go back when traveling in that direction in the future. Large room and bathroom.
The place was spotless. No mirror above the socket in the room and no little table or rack for a woman to blow dry her hair and apply make-up. No ice in the freezer, we had to buy ice at the bar. Smallest bathroom we have ever seen. No rack in the bathroom for vanity bags and also no rack for shampoo and soap. You have to put it on the floor of the shower. The water kept turning cold while we showered - really frustrating. I mentioned it to them and apparently they know about it, but they still have to fix it. This is unacceptable, bad service. I pay the tariff and I expect everything to work properly.
