The Laragh-on-Hogsback was lovely as were the owners. It has all the necessary facilities, and the verandah overlooks a beautiful garden. The town needs a bit of love here and there, but in general, the loveliest quaintest setting. The Eco-Shrine is only open on some days by prior arrangement. The public roads that way (R 67 or R 63) are in very good condition, but the last bit to town is slow driving. Do not try to take the shortcut through Seymore - it's not passable anymore.
King size bed was a pleasant surprise. The hostess was informative and accommodating .

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Laragh-on-Hogsback. It's perfect for groups or families, as two of the units are conjoined with only a door that separates you. The units are absolutely stunning, luxurious, and fully equipped with everything you need. The photos don't do it justice! From heaters in the bathrooms to pots and pans, we didn't have to bring anything from home, which we really appreciated. There is plenty of space to go for walks in the garden, and it's conveniently located on the main road and near shops. Jenny is a fantastic host, and the communication was excellent. We would 100% recommend Laragh-on-Hogsback, and we will definitely be returning.

Laragh-on-Hogsback is lovely, self-catering accommodation with everything one needs. There is a lovely fireplace, electric blankets, extra blankets for cold winter evenings. The hostess, Jenny, was very hospitable and accommodating. The beautiful gardens on site should be a summer treat.

Jenny is one of the most organised accommodation hosts we've ever encountered anywhere in the country. She has literally thought of everything to make your stay as comfy as possible. The cottages are fabulous, the beds are amazing, and the gardens are lush and peaceful. We loved our stay at Laragh and can highly recommend it.

Everything was so neat, clean and well thought out. I especially loved the his and hers electric blankets as well as the wood that was left for us to use inside. The cottage has more than enough space for 4 people and is situated close to the centre of town, surrounded by massive trees. Loved the owners' well-behaved dogs who came by to say hello.

Well-equipped and lovely units, we loved the interleading doors between our units as we were a large family. Jenny was very welcoming and informative upon arrival. Beautiful gardens and view from the patio. However, the place was very dusty and not clean, upon arrival and no cleaning services during our three night stay. We did notify Jenny and she was most willing to remedy the problem immediately. I would also recommend upgrading curtains, as they look old and worn. I can recommend Laragh to anyone going to visit Hogsback and surrounds.
I can really recommend Laragh, our unit was beautifully appointed, and the atmosphere was peaceful and private. Jenny went to great lengths to ensure that everything was in order. We were within walking distance of most attractions.
Units are built against each other, so neighbors can be disturbing, but otherwise unit is well equipped. The hostess was very thorough - especially around Covid regulations and water restrictions.
Laragh-on-Hogsback was a really great experience. A lovely little house with a beautiful porch and a well-equipped kitchen. The house was spacious and very private surrounded by a beautiful garden. The owner was very friendly and gave us very good suggestions of what to do in the area. Hogsback's roads are in extremely poor condition - just a warning to people with cars that are low on the road. As long as you drive slowly it is not a problem.

We had a wonderful experience at Laragh-on-Hogsback. The residential units are beautiful, clean, comfortable and very well equipped with anything one would need - from the kitchen to the bathroom. The garden is just so beautiful! Jenny and Norman are incredibly friendly and hospitable. We will visit them again and recommend them to anyone!

Neat place. Owner was in a hurry when we checked in and neglected to explain the cleaning service to us. No cleaning service was therefore available to us. Pillows on beds are as hard as rocks. No one can sleep on it.

My dad and I are on a road trip around South Africa. We stayed at Laragh-on-Hogsback for two nights. Jenny was a wonderful host, providing lots of detail about the area and interesting things to do. The cottage was very comfortable, with everything we needed, and more. It had a 'homely' feel, which was very welcome after a long drive to reach Hogsback. The garden is beautiful and tranquil, and it was quiet and serene while we were there. Laragh is excellent value for money, and I would highly recommend it to any type of traveller who may be exploring the Hogsback area.

The stay in the cottage at Laragh was a highlight for us after a stressful time in our lives. The place is equipped with everything needed and extras. We are already planning a next visit and will definitely visit in winter, as the cottage is also equipped for the cold.
The accommodation was very neat and everything that was provided is of very good quality. The place was very safe but for us as seniors just a little too far to walk to town. I would recommend the studio for a family with children, because the stairs were a bit steep for elderly people. Only negative comment is that unfortunately the owners were not there on the weekend and when we had problems with the WiFi, we had to communicate with them by phone. However, we will definitely use them if we come back to Hogsback and highly recommend them.

The self-catering unit was very well equipped and had lots of extras, e.g. hairdryer, blankets for the couch (TV), firewood for the fireplace, salt and pepper in the kitchen, coffee, tea, milk and rusks, chocolates on the pillows! Hogsback was a surprise. You should plan well, because on a Monday and Tuesday everything is closed. The accommodation was very good and well equipped. We had a nice stay.

It was lovely staying in this peaceful area. The plant life looks like it wat cut from a picture book and the accommodation is well equipped with everything you might need. The rooms are spacious and clean and very cosily equipped. The only inconvenience was the shower over the small bath. Everything gets wet and you have to stand at quite an angle so as to not mess all over the place. It will be wonderful if they could build a separate shower or just put in a shower door instead of a plastic curtain. Otherwise it was perfect. Thank you.

In one word "exquisite". Well equipped with high quality fittings and in working order. Spacious and comfortable; excellent location. We just had a little trouble locating the place with Garmin, so make sure you find out exactly where it is located before your trip.
