37 guests' feedbackWe had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The position was perfect for us so we could go for walks, cycling, and fishing. Restaurants are within walking distance. The area is safe to walk around and very picturesque. It's our second time at the same address because it's so pleasant.
No coffee or tea supplied. Also insect spray for mosquitos.
Unit had water running from ceiling due to rain. No table to eat at. No ventilation in bath.
Stay was more businesses. So it fit the purpose.
Can't recommend. No hot water. No secure parking as advertised. Cobwebs in the room. No WiFi code.
There was insects, cockroaches, all over the cutlery. Whilst we were using it things crawled out of the thongs into our food. Very un pleasant and disappointing. Alarm kept going off due to loadshedding and the oil/paraffin lamps made the fire alarm go off all night. Will not return again - and cold water to shower was uncomfy. Toilets didn't flush properly.
The house is perfect for small children.

It has a homely feel when you walk into the door you feel relaxed and carefree. It has a warmth that relaxes you straight away and makes you feel at home. The lovely bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and convenient with a TV, Music system, indoor- and outdoor braai what more can you ask for? All the needs and wants of a home away from home is in the house like a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, peculator, toaster, washing machine and vacuum. It doesn't matter if you are rich or poor this lovely little town will steal your heart and Lavender House will capture your soul. So if you want to come for a weekend or a holiday Lavender House is the place to stay. We surely enjoyed every single moment of our stay here and will do it again soon.
The house is really very comfortably furnished and with the safe garden available at the back, wonderful for small children. There is enough space for everyone.

We had a beautiful stay. Lyndie was very polite. The only problem is that the premises use a solar geyser and there was no sun on Saturday so we bathed with cold water and on Sunday we had to delay our check-out time because we waited for water to be a bit warm.
This is the second time I've visited Lavender House this year and it is a fantastic house. The rooms and living area is beautiful and comfortable. The house has everything you need. Even the beach bags in every room is very handy for the guests.

Had a fantastic long-weekend break away in Port Alfred! The Lavender room I stayed in is perfect for any single person or couple. Huge bonus is the fact that it is pet friendly. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Very well equipped kitchen, lovely open feeling when you walk into the house, comfortable rooms, good white linen, good towels, lovely backyard for kids to play in, had a great stay here and will definitely stay here again if we are in the area .

They will have to take a look at the one showerhead that leaks and the fireplace's chimney which might be blocked, because the airflow isn't very good and there was a lot of smoke in the house.

Lavender House's accommodation, relaxation spaces and fittings are of high quality. The only downside is the fact that it is a bit far from the sea - however, this did not detract from our holiday. Two of our guests are disabled and Lavender House suited their needs perfectly. The indoor braai area was perfect for the days when the weather was unsuitable for outdoor braai. A recommendation: salad spoons and serving spoons can be purchased. Furthermore: great, great!
From day 1 I was very, very happy with the service and the friendliness of Lavender House. The communication was excellent. And the place is so beautiful and clean and I just didn't want to go home at all! My boyfriend already wants to book the place again for his next karate competition. We were there for a wedding this weekend. Beautiful place; we immediately felt at home and were very kindly received by Sally. If we go in that direction again we will definitely use the accommodation again.
The owners' personal attention to the finer details such as e.g. the chocolates with bath towels and beach towels in a beach bag are just right for use. Was clearly visible everywhere in their little house and made us feel very much at home!
