Our Lodge is the sister Lodge of Leopard Tree Lodge (a self-catering lodge, down the street from Leopard Corner Lodge) and has the perfect location in our beautiful town of St Lucia, away from the hustle and bustle of the town.

All of the Guest Rooms at Leopard Corner Lodge are named after the prey of the majestic predator, the Leopard. From small antelope, like the Duiker, to huge trophy buck like the Eland & Koedoe, Leopard Corner’s Room names cover the entire spectrum of possible “leopard food”.
Our Lodge is not surrounded by 4 concrete walls, which allows our guests to enjoy a view of the forest and experience the wildlife St Lucia has to offer. Since located on the edge of the forest/greenbelt area surrounding St Lucia (not enclosed by 4 walls around us), our guests have the advantage of seeing hippos passing the Lodge at nighttime, a few meters away from the Lodge, busy grazing in the forest adjacent to our Lodge. Other animals to view from the Lodge are various species of birds, monkeys, different species of antelope, warthog, bushpig and the occasional leopard and hyena.
When the cycads are in bloom, it is common to see the many species of birds that come to feed on the variety of red seeds produced by our Cycads in the garden. St Lucia has the largest number of different bird species found together, in one place, out of the entire continent of Africa.
The Lodge is equipped with a 54 KVA diesel generator (power supply unit) and a borehole.
The Lodge is also equipped with a newly installed Solar Power System, which will provide for all the basic essentials like water supply, lights, Wi-Fi, TV, fans, security, etc. during quiet hours (22:00 pm and 07:00 am) when St Lucia encounters power failures or load shedding issues.
There are many different tours and activities that can be enjoyed in and around St Lucia. All of these, including safari game drives to 3 game reserves surrounding or close to St Lucia (Eastern Shores, Western Shores and Hluhluwe game reserves), Ocean Explore Fishing Adventure, turtle breeding tours, snorkeling tours at Cape Vidal, Hippo and Croc boat cruises on the Estuary, deep sea fishing, horse riding, hiking, birding etc, can all be arranged and booked from Leopard Corner’s reception.
St Lucia is most famous for its town’s hippos roaming the streets of the town at night-time. These hippos exit the Estuary at night-time and enter the streets of St Lucia to graze on the sidewalks of the town, only to return to the Estuary at dawn.

4 guests' feedbackWe stayed for four days. The rooms were very clean and neat. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help wherever they could. Tannie was very knowledgeable about the area, always suggesting something interesting to do for the next day. The breakfast was really good every morning. There is absolutely nothing I can complain about. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you to Pieter, Tessa, Lee, Jacques and the ladies who kept our room clean and served us at breakfast.
We were very happy here with 4 adults and a 6 year old child. The manager looked after us very warmly. Service, the rooms and the breakfast are very good. The rooms with the common terraces were the best for us. On the last evening we saw the hippos running through the city.
Many thanks to everyone who made us feel so at home. Als was of top quality.
Hostess Esmerie carried us on her hands during our visit and made us feel like VIP guests. The room was well equipped and met all our needs. We found our home in St Lucia and hope to visit again soon.

Since located on the edge of the forest/greenbelt area surrounding St Lucia (not enclosed by 4 walls around us), our guests have the advantage of seeing hippos passing the Lodge at nighttime, a few meters away from the Lodge, busy grazing in the forest adjacent to our Lodge. Other animals to view from the Lodge are various species of birds, monkeys, different species of antelope, warthog, bushpig and the occasional leopard and hyena.
When the cycads are in bloom, it is common to see the many species of birds that come to feed on the variety of red seeds produced by our Cycads in the garden. St Lucia has the largest number of different bird species found together, in one place, out of the entire continent of Africa.
The Lodge is equipped with a 54 KVA diesel generator (power supply unit) and a borehole.
The Lodge is also equipped with a newly installed Solar Power System, which will provide for all the basic essentials like water supply, lights, Wi-Fi, TV, fans, security, etc. during quiet hours (22:00 pm and 07:00 am) when St Lucia encounters power failures or load shedding issues.
There are many different tours and activities that can be enjoyed in and around St Lucia. All of these, including safari game drives to 3 game reserves surrounding or close to St Lucia (Eastern Shores, Western Shores and Hluhluwe game reserves), Ocean Explore Fishing Adventure, turtle breeding tours, snorkeling tours at Cape Vidal, Hippo and Croc boat cruises on the Estuary, deep sea fishing, horse riding, hiking, birding etc, can all be arranged and booked from Leopard Corner’s reception.
St Lucia is most famous for its town’s hippos roaming the streets of the town at night-time. These hippos exit the Estuary at night-time and enter the streets of St Lucia to graze on the sidewalks of the town, only to return to the Estuary at dawn.
