Room was nice and spacious with room for 4 people. I had a great time staying for the evening. Linda was pleasant.
I booked on short notice. Linda got in touch to find out what time we were coming and was there to receive us immediately. She informed us well about the loadshedding and so we were all showered and ready to sleep when the power went out. The unit has a lovely patio and everyone was well rested the next morning to travel on.
Exterior unkept, untidy. Broken window, light fitting and bedside lamp, no gate motor / lock so would have felt safer with a security gate on the only door. All contributed to a concern over cleanliness.
Will book again in the future.

The check-in time from 5 o'clock might be a problem for us but luckily Linda was at home and we could check in earlier and she made an effort to escort us from town. Not many owners will do this.

The shower head is very difficult because you struggle to get wet which was a bit inconvenient. The fridge didn't get cold either.
Only stay in Colesberg as it is half way to Cape Town and the trip from Johannesburg to Cape Town cannot be done in one day safely.
The main gate is not locked in the evening. It made me feel unsafe because my car was parked in the yard.

Linda's guest room is more than just that. It is a small self-catering apartment with plenty of space for 2 adults and two teenage boys. We only arrived very late at night. Linda was waiting for us in the street at our place of residence at half past twelve in the middle of the night. Besides the teenagers we also had our 3 dachshunds with us. Linda gave us the most suitable place so that the dogs also had a little garden. The unit also had a kitchenette with biscuits and a small fridge with milk to be able to drink a late night coffee. She came to greet us early the next morning before work to make sure we slept well. The unit is really very tastefully furnished and the beds made for a great night's sleep. We will definitely stay at her place again if we stay overnight in Colesberg.

We spent the night here on 20 Dec 2017 on our way to George. For the price, the facilities were clean and tidy, and the room had a lot of space that you don't usually find in overnight rooms. My only suggestion would be to just add a plastic drying rack by the sink for convenience. We were made to feel welcome and have already recommended Linda's to friends - will definitely stay here again.

The pictures that were posted online were misleading, did not get what was expected. Booked for room no. 2 but then got another room without any explanation. Room 3 is not advertised, but the impression is created that it is a "patched up" room. Unfortunately, I have to say it was not a very nice experience.

Linda's guesthouse is safe and secure and the rooms were very neat and tidy. I enjoyed the fact that the whole set up felt like home. There was fridge, tea, coffee and plates and cups set up which is great. If possible for future it would be nice if the room could have a microwave for warming up of food because we had some left over food in our luggage which we wanted to warm up.
Everything you might need (for warm or colder days) was provided and Linda is really hospitable and friendly! The room was stunning and neat with safe parking and a convenient location. When your tired of travelling you want to stay at a nice place. I wasn't impressed. The yard seemed untidy, the inside is bearable but I already had a negative impression. First impressions count.

Thanks so much to Linda for paying special attention to making our stay enjoyable. We arrived very late, but she went through trouble to greet us in the street, and preparing the room for holiday visitors travelling from the beach who have to spend the night in the Karoo. The room was very spacious and could accommodate our family of 5. Thanks also for the lovely rusks!

We felt very welcome and had a very nice stay. Everything was very neat and safe. I would perhaps only recommend that there should be another warm blanket available. It was very cold and the sheets did not work well. Furthermore, it was very neat.

We used the guest room as an overnight stop on a drive between Cape Town and Johannesburg. It was everything we needed ─ neat, clean, private and we were received kindly. We can also recommend JC's Pub and Restaurant in town for a light dinner.

My mom was overly satisfied with the guesthouse and she travelled alone from Johannesburg to Cape Town. Her words exactly: "It is gorgeous, relaxing on the stoep drinking tea and eating rusks which was laid out for me. I feel like I'm in paradise, it is so peaceful, God, nature and me..."
Clean and tidy. Friendly reception. Air conditioning a plus. Everything you need for a comfortable overnight stay. We will definitely stay there again.
You can't get better value for money, als is clean and the bedding is brand new. Spacious rooms and Linda is a wonderful hostess, and goes out of her way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The air conditioning is heavenly in the heat of Colesberg and there is a nice barbecue area if you don't want to eat at Die Plattelander. Coffee, milk and biscuits are waiting for you, we will definitely spend the night there again.

The room was neat and clean. Linda was friendly and helpful. However, the one complaint I have is that there were only SABC channels available on the DStv in the room.
Linda waited for us until late and provided us with a clean and tidy place to sleep.

In December, Colesberg is very hot and the air conditioner in our room was a pain. The other facilities were also very good. Our hostess received us kindly and also recommended Die Plattelander as a restaurant where I tasted delicious sheep's tails for the first time in my life. My wife's bobotie was just as delicious. I would stay there again, especially when the accommodation fee is compared to others in the same town.
We had a great time staying at Linda's place. The room was neat and clean and the porch with the braai was very comfortable. Many thanks to Linda for her hospitality.
The guest house accommodated us with a late arrival and the owner received us personally. The rooms were more than adequate with ample space and ample sleeping space. It's neat and clean and coffee and biscuits were available. Will definitely stay there again when we drive to the Cape.
After a long drive from Gauteng, this is one of the best places to arrive.

It's pleasant and cheap for one night. The self-catering facilities are (too) limited. There is a braai area, but no grills, tongs etc. not. There is a microwave but no hot plate. Well knives and forks, but no spoons. And the house doesn't actually have a place to make food either.
Really enjoyed the stay, very comfortable room, owner friendly and helpful. Had a great time relaxing! Will definitely use again.
Excellent service and very friendly, I would love to stay there again. Only negative comment, maybe the outside area could be more "friendly", but for the rest it was excellent value for money!
