We enjoyed our visit very much. We stayed in the Rooshuis. It's a beautiful old house, delicious fire made in fireplace. Beds were equipped with electric blankets that made your bed wonderfully warm. There are alpacas, horses, chickens, bunnies etc. Our son really enjoyed feeding and rubbing animals! Furthermore, the farm is also accommodating for your own animals. We took our Italian Gray puppy with us. He even got food at their restaurant!
The sheets used on the bed were not comfortable.
It was indeed a pleasure staying there. The only thing we can mention is struggling to get dry wood in town and then struggling to make a fire as there was no axe to make smaller logs. We eventually managed and enjoyed the fire place with the soft rain in the background. Peacefull.
The hostess makes you feel very at home, it was a wonderful experience, would like to go again.
The farm is in a perfect location and the garden is beautiful. The bathrooms and bed just need a bit of upgrading.
Nice walking routes - form part of the St. Ford hiking trail. Picturesque nature. The cliffs and caves are incredibly beautiful. The accommodation is very tidy and was looked after every morning when we left the house.
One needs time to explore the place and to relax (or stretch) there. One night is hopelessly too little. I guess each unit is unique and I would like to see what each one looks like, not to mention the oxcarts.
We had a great stay and it was very beautiful! There were just no coffee mugs to be able to drink coffee the next morning, as well as no wood for the fireplace. If only it was there, everything would be perfect.

Linwood Guest Farm offers the quiet of nature but is close to everything. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated. Hospitality, friendly service and a lot of effort was done with us. The surroundings are beautiful and the peaceful atmosphere helps you relax in luxury.
Thank you very much for an unforgettable weekend. A real gem. Beautifully clean and stylish. We were immediately made to feel at home. We will definitely visit the farm again and without a doubt stay there again.
The room is particularly beautiful and special - real attention to detail. The shower with the two heads is brilliant. The bath is also very nice. Beautiful curtains and clean, soft bedding. The headboard of the bed was unfortunately loose - banging against the wall all night when you turn over in bed. The slate floors are very beautiful. Cremora is not drinkable for everyone, so I would suggest they keep a small box of long-life milk in the fridge in the room. Would make the price more attractive if a small breakfast was included.

We arrived late at our destination. Nothing was too much trouble and we were contacted to find out if we were ok and what time they would expect us. Mariette was friendly and very helpful. Heaters were on in rooms to drive away the cold. There was nothing we would have changed to make our stay more enjoyable! Thank you very much!

Linwood has more than one type of accommodation and we lived in the loft. It had everything one needs with a shower and a bath. The fireplace is nice with enough wood. The location is ideal.
The room was clean but smelled of smoke when we arrived. The sandstone walls are dirty, and room heating was insufficient for -4.5 degrees. There is no insulation in the ceiling that made the room unpleasant. Water pressure in shower was a little stream. We still don't know who the manager or owner is. We were given a key by the cleaner.

If you are looking for good accommodation outside the town, this is a good option. Apart from a few small things that were missing in the kitchen, we had a very nice stay and it met all our needs.

A wonderful, peaceful atmosphere where you immediately start to relax and forget about the day-to-day work and stress. The cottage is equipped with everything you need. Beautiful garden. Genuine, friendly people. Beds and bedding good quality and comfortable. I hope I will have the opportunity to stay there again.

A lovely, peaceful farm just outside Clarens. We wanted to get away from our daily busy lives and went to Clarens for a long weekend. Even the village was busy with all the visitors. Linwood was the perfect place to just switch off. They will definitely see me again!

The website misrepresented and incorrectly advertised that trout fishing, among other activities, were available on the property. No advertised activity was available. On speaking to the owner/manager, it became clear that the available activities at Linwood Guest farm were misrepresented.
It was very peaceful and clean in the beautiful surroundings.
We would advise anyone to book there. The cleanliness, and view is very good. Our cottage was well equipped and the tea, coffee, sugar and milk awaited us. We were kindly received and immediately helped with questions about town and restaurants. Thank you very much, we really appreciated it.
The perfect farm experience with very comfortable accommodation. What bothered me a bit was the "double-sided" braai which does not ventilate well, and whichever side fires, both sides are smoked. It won't stop me from going again though.
Very quiet and peaceful farm atmosphere, clean and tidy. Bathroom could do with more privacy for a family. We had a great stay and will go back again.
What made it convenient for us is that it is 6 km from Clarens and we could drive in and around Clarens every day and could also enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of farm life and the beautiful nature.
Our stay at Linwood Guest Farm was unforgettable. It's beautiful and the customer service was top notch! We could go for a lovely walk on the farm, climb up to the rock ledges for the most beautiful view, or just walk quietly in the forest and watch the eagles. We will definitely be going back again for more!

The unit is beautifully decorated and very neat. Breakfast was just a tad disappointing.
The room was very well equipped and the kitchen adequate. It was nice to sleep in a stone building with a fireplace and the towels were big and luxurious. The bath was lovely, I wouldn't have survived a shower in the cold. The heater in the bathroom was also nice. Too bad there were no matches and 'starters' to start the fire. At least we could go and buy it in town.

Breakfast delicious. Mariette is a superstar - made an effort and made porridge oats along with all the other well prepared breakfast foods. Very friendly people and even the other guests were pleasant and relaxed. We haven't felt so safe in a long time - we come from Johannesburg! Bedding good quality. Pillows a bit soft but were more than enough. No shower but, alas, the bath was so nice to lie in!

Linwood is beautiful. We stayed in the Cato room. Even with the fireplace we were cold, but that is part of the fun. The only problem is that there was no Vodacom signal on the farm. MTN works and I'm not sure about the other networks.

From the moment we arrived at Linwood we were on cloud nice. It is authentic and really something special. Would recommend it to anyone. Such a sincere, beautiful place. Wouldn't forget it anytime soon.
I got a very clean, pleasant place that was nice to stay in. The bathrooms were clean and the water was hot, the kitchen could use attention for a self-catering facility, but otherwise very neat, the bedrooms were sufficient with beds that provide a good night's sleep and are very comfortable. The only item I missed was a television, but if that is not in keeping with the theme of the accommodation a radio will help a lot. Once again, it was pleasant.
