Various wildlife can be seen during your stay with the sound of lion roars accompanying you while dining at our restaurant or relaxing under the African night sky. The lodge is a bird watchers paradise with nine of the ten kingfisher species viewable on the premises. Our bushveld styled accommodation units are thus also aptly named after these kingfisher species.
Our chalets are booked out as complete units as per above information. Should you however book within one week prior to arrival and we have space available we offer a “per person†rate.
Special functions: We cater for group functions and arrange these special functions to your individual requirements. Groups are hosted either in our Restaurant or in the Boma. Cost is quoted on individual requirements.

The Fauna include: the Cape Red Duiker, the Grey Duiker, Bushbuck, Porcupine, Warthogs as well as five types of the seven known Kingfishers. The Flora include; the Marula, the Brown Ivory, the Zebrabark Corkwood, the White Thorn, the Impala Lilly including numerous indigenous cycads.
We offer you bushveld accommodation which has specifically been built from materials found in the local habitat, creating a true African/bushveld milieu throughout the lodge. Everywhere you look, the design of the lodge is based on the natural forms, shapes and textures of the bushveld flora. Rooms and amenities are stylishly decorated with African art work in the form of a variety of handcrafts. While sipping a sundowner on your private deck, relaxing next to the swimming pool in the African sun or washing off the days dirt in an open air bushveld shower - every moment at our lodge will be an experience to remember!

Beautiful cottages. Nice and cool despite the heat. Lovely stoep to relax and huge kitchen. Louis welcomed us and helped us with our off road trailer. Big thanks to him. Well worth a weekend stay or longer.
Good location to explore the canyons.
It was a lovely weekend, all that bothered me was that the porch where the stove is was flooded when it rained. The owners will have to make a plan there to stop the water. Ivan went out of his way to make us comfortable. Was always available if we needed anything. The rates I think are a bit high. Get the idea it's bush but the amenities don't match the rate. Nevertheless, we had a good time, the period was just too short.
The worst place I have ever stayed. Don't bother going there.
