We had a nice stay. Clean, safe, tidy, private. Only thing that was bad about our vacation is that there was no water for the entire weekend we were there. We were kept up to date on the water situation and were supplied with water, but apparently the water had been off for a total of 6 days and it came on again on the Sunday morning we had to leave. I think the water was off a long time before we got there and I would have liked to have been notified of that in advance, as I have 2 small children. Parking is also a bit tricky, but provision has been made in that regard.
We highly recommend Ma Belle's Place. Everything is just as described in the web page. Safe, quiet and comfortable. Michelle and Jan are fantastic host and wife. Definitely complimented our getaway. Excellent value for money in every way.

Total privacy, peaceful and quiet, very polite landlord, more than sufficient pillows, blankets, towels, quick hot water, stable wifi at high speeds, gas stove and battery-powered LED lights available in case of loadshedding, 5 minutes from shops and beach. Recommendation for improvement: TV size and bathroom key. Will definitely go again.

What a delightful hostess, Michele is absolutely outstanding and makes you feel truly at home. The unit is well equipped with everything you would need, even "loadshedding proof" with rechargeable light and gas stove. Worth every cent, on the contrary, you get much more than you pay for. The accommodation is quite spacious - 2 double beds, lovely kitchen, toilet, shower, enough packing place (cupboards). No guests are allowed.
The unit is comfortably furnished and nicely furnished. Quiet area, which creates a peaceful atmosphere. Within reach of shops and even the beach area.
Our one night stay went well and had everything we needed. Hosts had a generator that was capable of running the lights during the loadshedding. Gas stove was nice to have available while without power.

Comfortable just sorry the shower was a problem as the power kicked out every time the shower. Be turned open. They try to save money with a device attached to the shower, but I couldn't get value for my money. After all, an overnight stay is about sleeping and being able to clean yourself.
Friendly, helpful and hospitable reception and always helpful with whatever help is required. It's clean, tidy and comfortable with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. It is truly a homecoming when you use the facility and I will definitely use it again.

Ma belle's Place, is fantastic! It is comfortable, clean, and Michelle is an excellent hostess, taking care of everything. It has everything one could hope for, if one wishes to cook, or braai, and there is even a washing machine for longer stays. It is an economical basecamp to explore hiking trails, which are great for trail running too: Danie Miller Trail: 2 km away, so walk / run out the door. Crystal Pools Waterfall Trail: +-8 km away, so a short drive, for short, or full day hikes. Helderberg Nature Reserve: 13 km away, for short, or full day hikes. The West Peak & Helderberg Dome Summits (day hikes). Houw Hoek Trail: +- 35km away (Trail is a 13km circular route starting at the Hotel). Having spent a total of 7 days here so far, I will be returning again.

Michelle is an excellent hostess, always available to take care of all one's needs. As a self-catering unit, one has all that is needed at hand. Located in a suburb, it is very quiet, and the bonus is that is close to grocery shops, beaches, hiking trails, wine routes. Small guard dogs, ensure that one is safe. So happy with the comfortable stay, I booked another.

Open plan kitchen and lounge area are overcrowded with furniture. To create more space its recommended to remove the bed and couch in the area and replace with a sleeper couch. Also, it lakes a meal table with chairs; Remove the coffee table and replace it with a dining table and chairs. Mount the TV on the wall above the table and chairs.
Nothing to complain about, we had a nice stay, owners were friendly and accommodating. Apart from a few unforeseen circumstances, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Will definitely be going back. One small thing that could be looked at is the sliding door not being able to lock as extra security.
Unfriendly owner and apartment need a lot of attention e.g. shower mouldy, ceilings rain stains and mold spots, kitchen cupboards and shelves sticky inside.

TV showed "weak signal" most of the time, there was no DStv at all, I had to connect my phone to the TV to be able to watch TV, on Saturday morning there was no hot water and we had to shower in cold water, there was upon arrival we were told that they close the gates between 8 and 9 where we go in and out, just felt like we were still in lockdown, we were not once asked if we were okay or if we were still happy with everything, there was just told to me that if we want something we should WhatsApp her. Just feel that a little more needs to be done about the service and the WiFi, the place looks exactly like in the photos and is convenient only if you want to sleep there, but that's it, definitely won't go again.

Michelle is an awesome host. The cottage has everything you need for a short or long visit. It is located in a very quiet neighbourhood and is very close to the beach and all other necessary shopping centres. Ma Belle's Place will suit all your needs.
It was nice to stay there. But the pictures were misleading. There is a photo taken from the mountain with a view of the sea. One automatically assumes that is the view one gets. Which is not. It's in someone's backyard and you're staring into their neighbors house. I would recommend looking up the address first before booking a place in the future.
The place itself is very neat, clean and well equipped. Everything is there that is needed. You have your own area (very small) where you can let the dogs loose, if your dog is traveling with you. It is indeed where the owners also live, but work can be done to keep the yard neat and clean. There was construction debris and old car parts lying around. The owners also need to communicate better. There was a water outage, but we only got a message. No extra water was brought for emergencies. The vehicle was parked behind a gate which is fine. It is a nice quiet street and area and the OK and Spar are very close. Overnight or a second night is fine, but no longer.
Ma belle's Place is the perfect place for two to get out of the busy city and just relax.
It was worth each moment.
