It's central and definitely worth it if you're just looking for that little something 'special'. The cat that comes to say hello makes you feel even more welcome. I would suggest that they do more about load shedding Today it is part of everyday life and there are numerous solutions and a long-term investment, e.g. solar panels or 'Inverter', will make a big difference and be worth the money for guest comfort. They put in a lot of effort but lack a more permanent solution.

The owner has gone to great lengths to make this room feel like home. Everything one needs is here. We were even treated to some port on a cold winter's evening. It had been delicious.
We only stayed one night in Gabriella, but if we could we would have liked to stay longer. This is a beautiful guest room in a quiet and safe street. We were also able to park behind a security gate. The nice mattress and bedding ensured a great night's rest. The room has everything one needs and is very tastefully furnished. Very friendly reception and goodbye with our departure by the owner. Would definitely recommend Mabet and Gabriella Guest Rooms!

This guest house and owners exceeded our best expectations. For the rate of R800 per night you certainly cannot ask for better. The little things that count: welcome message at your front door, sherry as a welcome, muffins with the coffee (real nut coffee and "plunger" offered complimentary), surely the best rusk we've ever tasted (offered complimentary), cozy dressing gowns for guests use. Full DStv. The decor is some of the most beautiful, the room sparkling clean, rooms are serviced if you stay more than one night. People can't go wrong with this gem in Robertson.

Ideally, the geyser that supplies the room needs to be larger, runs out of hot water quickly in winter! This is not a complaint, but a suggestion.
Warm welcome. Satisfied with unit that was equipped. Sadly, the shower water leaked over bathroom floor and bedroom floor - no mop to clean up. Other than that, a wonderful experience had by my husband and myself.

Mabet and Gabriella is in a quiet street, no traffic noise! The host and hostess are friendly and helpful. Each person is given keys and remote control to open and close the security gate. Security is good, gates and bars for windows! Well equipped with air conditioning, hot blanket, kettle, tea and coffee, microwave, hair dryer and large TV with all DStv channels! The bed and bedding were new, clean and very neat, very attentive to details in the guesthouse, Wi-Fi included!

The hostess, Toekies, received me very warmly and I soon felt at home. Her husband is just as friendly. Her breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere in the garden is very peaceful with the cats and all the birds. Her front door was always open and my stay there was worth every penny! I will definitely go there again!
It was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed in Robertson. The room is incredibly beautiful. In the room is everything you need plus extra. Toeksie is so friendly and always ready to help. We were pleasantly surprised with the reception (the owner made an effort) and gave us small gifts and made us feel right at home. Room was tidy and once again she went out of her way to make the stay pleasant and thought of everything. For example warm gowns that were available, and the delicious Montagu Muskadel to ward off the cold! Would definitely stay there again if we were in the area!

I used the room to get dressed for my wedding and it was really very nice. Toekies went out of her way to make everything comfortable and beautiful for us and even put out delicious snacks for us. We didn't sleep in the room ourselves but the people who did couldn't stop talking about how nice they stayed there. We slept over for one night in the Mabet room after a wedding. The room was nice and big with beautiful decor. The towels and bedding were exceptionally clean. A lot of attention has been paid to detail that makes the place stand out from an ordinary guest house. There were small bowls of chocolate, delicious coffee and biscuits for the next morning and a bottle of sweet wine for us to enjoy!. Will definitely stay there again when we are in Robertson!

Just what I wanted!
The guest house was immaculate. The room was spacious, the bed was huge and the shower had some of the best pressure I have experienced outside of my own home. Attention to detail was given with chocolates on the bed, rusks for one's tea and the entire room had the most wonderful smell of vanilla. Customer service was excellent. The owners were polite, credit card payment was available and there was secure off-street parking and use of a swimming pool, which was not advertised. I would definitely return and recommend this to anyone coming to Robertson. My only complaint was that it was self-catering and there was only a microwave but this hardly detracted from our stay.

The kindness of our hostess and her husband was exceptional. They even went to the trouble of getting a reservation at a fully booked restaurant. The food was delicious! The sweet wine dispelled the cold. The bed was cozy and everything contributed to the successful celebration of our 40th wedding anniversary.
We enjoyed staying here so much, the rooms are luxurious and full of surprises such as bubble bath soap, hot water bags, plunger coffee, a full DStv package, WiFi and chocolates. It's a must if you're staying in Robertson!
