25 guests' feedbackPathetic service by management. No appreciation for customers. Had an issue with no hot water being available for us to shower in the morning. Tried calling the manager over 10 times to try and get someone to assist us. He didn't take a single call. Which is a joke because his cell number is put on their notification letter in the room as the emergency number. So anyways the wife and I had a cold shower, I dropped an email to the admin of Madeira Bed. It has been 2 days later and no one from Medeira had made any effort to contact us via telephone or email. The only communication I did receive was from my booking company. Funny enough, the manager did get a hold of them and makes a claim that we changed the temperature settings of their gas heater hence it didn't work. Like really, is that the best excuse you can give. Like which sane person gets up at 6am goes outside in the cold, adjust geyser temperature, then goes and take a cold shower.
Everything you need for an overnight stay or a few days' stay.
We were kindly received and were pleasantly surprised with the self-catering unit. Would recommend it.
The guest house has a gas geyser and a generator which helped a lot during the power outage.
Clean, neat and just outside of town. Desk, iron, coffee and all necessities taken care of.

Would recommend for people wanting to stay a night or 2. There is no kitchen, but a microwave, toaster and small fridge, and only a bathroom sink. Would stay there again for a single night stay.

We stayed here for a week while my husband had to teach a course. The room was comfortable and well equipped, and staff were friendly. They even provided us with a table and chairs so we could do some prep work. Quiet environment, secure parking. Definitely recommend.
One day or two, we reminded the cleaner to change the towels in the bathroom.

Both times we have stayed there, there appears to have been a breakdown in communication as to how many guests were expected. There were only 2 teabags (one normal and one rooibos), 3 little containers of milk and only 1 chocolate for the two of us!
Madeira provided everything that was promised. Eskom experienced a power outage, but equipment was sufficient to cope. No problems encountered.

Quiet location with a beautiful view of the mountain - clean and comfortable room. Added benefit that there was water, when a lot of Queenstown was dry. Great value for money, all round lovely stay.
We spent a very comfortable night and felt very safe and there was a well equipped kitchen.
We were received very kindly and had a very pleasant stay for the night. Even when my husband decided at short notice that he wanted to barbecue, Gerhard made sure that everything we needed was available for us. Thank you very much for the accommodation which was really of high quality.

This establishment is perfect for business travellers.
Not a self catering option, there are no pots or pans to use, only a toaster. It rained and braai was not accessible because it was in the open.
