Everything was clean and tidy! The bedding was clean and mattresses were most comfortable on our holiday trip. The self-catering unit has everything you need, a delicious covered braai, even a washing machine in the kitchen. Definitely value for money! There is parking within the complex and burglar bars in front of all windows and doors. We will definitely stay here again!

Comfortable, neat, spacious double-storey residential unit. Indoor braai was nice and we enjoyed the large kitchen and living area.
They already have DStv and WiFi for customers. Maybe they can add Netflix, Showmax and Disney+ (streaming services) on their Samsung Smart TV so customers can log into their own accounts. Only problem in area currently is power. Load shedding.
Convenient location and safe. Reception friendly and fast. The bathroom is not up to standard at all and needs urgent attention and renovation. Door handle on inside of bathroom door also off. What is the idea of a microwave oven without any related equipment such as a plate, knife, fork or spoon? Extremely inconvenient for a person who wants to dry hair or apply makeup. Would not recommend room for two persons wanting to stay more than one night.

The weather has not played out so well now (not all days) but who cares, you are in JBay and we have done everything possible to make it enjoyable and we have. The place has excellent restaurant with friendly service. The expansive beaches were a highlight. Will definitely want to stay with Madiolyn again if I go to JBay again.

Our stay at Madiolyn was amazing we arrived and immediately the owner made us feel at home, it was like visiting a family house. The place was amazing and the whole set up of Unit 2 was lovely. The place was clean and tidy and spacious, with a stunning view of the ocean. Not a lot of traffic made it so peaceful and also close to the shops and the beach. Also just the hospitality and friendly staff and they were all so helpful.Our vacation ended in hugs and sad hearts as we had to go back home. We will defiantly be back again soon.

Madiolyn's facilities are very good. The passage you have to drive through is just very narrow. Not suitable for large vehicles.

We spent a lovely week at Madiolyn's beach house on Tulip Avenue during school holidays. The house is well equipped with comfortable beds and a good kitchen including dishwasher, convection oven and washing machine. There was sufficient hot water for all 9 of us despite stage 4 load shedding, and a lovely sea view over the two rows of houses in front of it. For future guests, I thought to clarify two items (this is noted in most of the adverts): The beach house isn't actually a free standing house on the beach. It's a house that has been divided into two flats and a big apartment which are all let separately. We stayed in the apartment (4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms) which was a very good size. The parking bay allocation of flat A is in front of the apartment door, and their balcony looks onto the (quite large) balcony of the apartment, so don't expect privacy in this regard. The garden is also shared by all. Da Gama Street onto which the house faces, and which you would need to cross when walking to the beach was very busy and noisy especially for non-city folk.
The accommodation was neat and clean. The view from our unit no. 7 was not as desired.
Madiolyn has a perfect location. It's also perfect for a group of people and everyone lives comfortably. The client service is excellent and everyone is very friendly. We'll definitely recommend it to people.

Our stay at Madiolyn was comfortable, safe, clean and value for money. What was advertised on the internet, is what we got and that is good customer services.
The entire building's parking is chaos. It's way too small, you have to turn really hard just to get around the corners and will never be able to get into the garage with a big car. Everyone stops just outside their flats, because it involves too much to turn in, had to ask neighbors to move vehicle just to be able to parallel park in as well. The apartment itself is as seen in the photos and what you expect.
Been staying at Madiolyn for the Transbavian MTB race for the past 3 years now. Very clean, comfortable and would highly recommend!

The TV should be replaced. Apart from that we had a nice stay. We were a bit surprised about the R500 key deposit because no one prepared me for it.
We are tall folk, I asked for a bed without a footpiece, it was confirmed, but then the bed had a footpiece, luckily it was a large, long bed so my husband fit in. Would have liked the warm water in the shower (especially now in winter) a bit warmer, also had to boil water in the kitchen to wash dishes. Otherwise we are 100% happy with everything, well-equipped, nice inside braii and all the equipment were in perfect order, will definitely stay there again.

On the Saturday afternoon I had to find out they were thinking of renting the spare room to a stranger, luckily they didn't, but it was shocking. There's no sign of it on the website and no reference to it in the Mdiolyn contract that I signed when I arrived, they didn't say anything about it on the Friday when we checked in. The apartment wa perfect but this part of the story was a turn-off.
Had a problem with the fact that there wasn't a power socket close to the mirror. They could rather replace the little cupboard in the bedroom with a dressing table.
I recommend a top sheet on the bed and the showerhead pipe is a bit long, otherwise everything was perfect.
Very good place for a weekend away.
Replace the old TV with a modern flat screen because it does a bit of harm to the place. Mention on the internet that it is a double storey and that the room downstairs does not have a view. There was a mother-in-law of 92 that had to climb the stairs up and down. Another pan in the kitchen would be nice. It was very nice to have a container of water there and we appreciated the large fridge.
There is no patio as indicated on the photo. Braai is falling apart.

The apartment is very well furnished and the decor fitting. The only negative point is the ancient kitchen and closets. If they were to replace those, it would be a home away from home.
Madiolyn is a beautiful place to stay and the girl who helped us was very friendly, but the people in and of Jeffreys Bay is mostly not friendly. I will go to Jeffreys Bay again but not eat out in town. Stay at your accommodation and just enjoy the nice beach and water.

Didn't have a nice rest. Hollow mattress. Very low single ceramic sink. Difficult to wash dishes. Bathroom in bedroom: No. The mattress should definitely be replaced for a place rated 4-star. The bathroom in the bedroom that's divided with a room divider makes the shower very small. No place to put bags. The place was neat and clean. The ceramic sink was very low and doesn't go well in the kitchen. The equipment drawer constantly landed on the floor. Very old type of drawers.

Upon our arrival, we were already impressed with the friendly reception, neat environment and the prompt way in which we were received and escorted to our accommodation. "Flatlet B" is sufficiently furnished for two people comfortably, big enough, clean and in a wonderfully relaxing environment, neatly and tastefully furnished, and a nice walk to the beach and shops. Affordable accommodation recommended for sure. We will certainly book with Madiolyn again if we come to visit the family in the future.

On arrival we were told we would have to park outside as there is no parking inside, as we are staying in a room and not in the self-catering units. It is not located in a safe area at all. Some of the guests were noisy and early in the morning cleaners were making noise outside. We will not want to stay here again. The place is very well equipped and big but not in a safe area.

Was initially placed in one of the annex apartments of Madiolyn. It was also of the same standard as Madiolyn with a nice sea view. Unfortunately it did not have a separate bathroom. The washing and toilet facilities were in the bedroom and this was not acceptable to us. Fortunately, other arrangements could be made for us. We think there are many other people who will not find it acceptable either.

The owners were friendly and helpful. It bothers that breakfast is no longer available, although it is still indicated as such, but that the 2 rooms do not have any self-catering facilities available. The other units apparently have a small kitchen. There is also no garage available for the 2 rooms. Parking was a bit awkward, although at least within the grounds behind the security gate.

The apartment we stayed in was very neat. There is just not full DStv. The shower needs a decent cleaning. There was a washing machine and space to hang clothes which is a bonus.

Accommodation was neat and clean. Just a pity about neighbors who are noisy until the early hours of the morning, but despite this my wife and I will use Madiolyn again in the future. Jaco was immediately available and their service was very friendly and helpful. I didn't want to bother him at 3am to quiet the people, although he was very willing to do it when I told him about it.

A bit noisy as neighbors to visit. Parking is very tight if your vehicle is bigger than a VW Golf, otherwise we really enjoyed it, it was well located, spacious and clean. Maybe a tumble dryer is missing.
