All bedding and bath towels are provided.
The boat is attached to our jetty at all times. Guests can enjoy meals at A Taste of Africa Restaurant, situated up the road from the boat location. Meals are not included in your stay but the boat does offer self-catering facilities, such as a gas stove, microwave and fridge as well as braai facilities. There is also a grocery store conveniently situated within 500 m from the houseboat.
We do not allow parties or events.

8 guests' feedbackDirty dishes in the cupboards. Toilets were only cleaned very late afternoon instead of 8:30 am as stipulated. Overall, not satisfied.
Great experience! There was just no hot water to shower.
Everything was neat and everything you need is there. Beautiful sunset and sunrise over the river. Nice bed, TV, chocolate on the bed. The toilet is just a bit uncomfortable/small. I would only change 2 things - the people driving up and down the river obviously make a lot of waves and then Maggie May chops against the wooden post. That's quite a hard blow. I would suggest that a car tire could be tied to the pole to dampen the blow. And then also just a new shower curtain, it's brown underneath. Thank you.
We had so much fun enjoying the stay on the river and the activities available. The check-in was easy and they kindly allowed the two dogs to come along. It is a beautiful area to explore but the N2 is close by so one is aware of that noise at times. But I would definitely recommend this as something to try. 2 nights were perfect for us to get the full day to experience the boat and river.
We enjoyed it very much. We only have 1 request. It is that commercial boats are not moored to the sides of the Maggie May. It spoils the view of the river.
Very good reception! Got bananas, chocolate and fruit juice on the boat! I would say one night is too short to stay there. One disappointment is that the boat is so well-anchored that it doesn't bob up and down like a boat should!
We would like to thank Karl and Kelly and all their staff for their kindness and help during our stay. We felt at home and really enjoyed our time on the boat.
