Marlyn or Dolfyn are 2 self-catering cottages, situated one above the other. Marlyn is on the top floor, while Dolfyn is on the bottom floor. Each unit offers a romantic stay for a couple with a very nice view of the beach which is about 150 m away, along a nice bottled path. Each cottage is fully open-plan, except for the toilet which is separate. The shower, bath, basins, bedroom area, lounge and kitchen all in one. Each unit has its own outdoor built in braai area.

Only problem is the bed is already slept through on one side, so if you sleep two people on it, the other person rolls to the side. But it's a really cute place.
The reception was friendly, everything was explained. The hostess provided her details and made sure everything was right and as desired. The annex meets everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The view is great.
Everything you need with the added bonus of a beautiful large bath, braai area that is sheltered from the wind and a peaceful neighbourhood.
Our landlord was welcoming. We had privacy, and the stay was an absolute pleasure. Sitting on the stoep overlooking the ocean, even the crayfish tasted better. Would definitely go again… soon!
What can i say The most fantastic place to stay. The location, the view, just about everything. I will go there again and again.
We had the most amazing stay. The upstairs unit had a great view and a braai outside. I have to say it was very well equipped, and the bath in the room was amazing, with a big shower as well. The kitchen is a bit tight, but hey, you are on holiday so it isn't too much of a problem, especially with all the restaurants around. The host is a great host and attended to anything we asked for.

The entrance to the car park very narrow and extremely difficult to drive in, we damaged our car in the process. Too many "house rules". We were told to park on the street which we found very unpleasant. The place is neat, but very cramped.

We had a wonderful stay here and will definitely use Marlyn and Dolfyn again. Lovely large shower and bath. Comfortable bed with clean linen. The towels were clean and smelled good, many other guest houses, timeshare can come and find out a bit from you about how to keep towels tidy. I was especially pleased to see that there is a wall plug by the mirror cabinet, this is important for a woman. Furthermore, we had a great time and wish we could have stayed longer.

We were received with open arms, did not expect this type of hospitality. Paternoster people are nice people. The view from Marlyn's balcony was absolutely stunning and worth doing it over and over again, we will definitely stay there again, on our next visit to Paternoster.
Very well equipped self-care accommodation. Clean, tidy and lots of space. Everything is certainly not crammed into a small room and bath and shower facilities make it very special. Beautiful and comfortable.

Marlyn and Dolfyn have a beautiful view of the ocean with the most beautiful sunset. These are self-catering units with a bath and shower, At's personal collection of artworks can be viewed in each room. Tasteful decor with its own braai in front of each unit and a kitchen that has everything available for dining with a patio in front of each room. At is a fantastic host. I go back every year for another great visit in Paternoster. Feel free to visit At's gallery. At Marlyn and Dolfyn, guests are received, but leave as friends.
Only two nights stay but thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility and feeling of "simple luxury". Definitely worth the visit and will return again.

Very very nice! The bathtub in the room makes it terribly romantic. The decor is classic and one simply feels spoiled with all the beauty. We stayed in Marlyn, the top unit. The view is incredibly beautiful! The stoepie with braai makes it very cosy. We felt very special and had a really good time. We will definitely want to come and stay here every time.

What a sweet little gem. The top floor, Marlyn, was perfect - a view is breathtaking! Indoor braai facilities and the room had it all - a massive bath, shower, separate toilet, comfortable bed. Equipped with everything you need. The paintings on the walls are beautiful and exceptional. Our JR really enjoyed it because it was walking distance from the beach where she could run and we could go for nice long walks. We would definitely recommend it.
Beautiful studio apartment with little balcony and braai - sea views. We were on the top story. It's perfect for 2 people - has all you need, a really lovely ambiance - my husband and I thought it very tastefully decorated - stunning artworks by local SA artist At Botha. The bed is very comfortable with plush white linen and towels not always the case when renting away. The apartment is well positioned - close to the beach, just a short walk along a pretty bottled path and restaurants. The waterfront etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others.

We were looking for a break from the city's busy routine and found it in Paternoster. The property was very tidy with the most beautiful sea view with sunrise and sunset. Just what we needed to recharge for the new year.
Plek is baie nice! Ons het met ons troeteldiere gegaan en het baie gemaklik gebly. Baie naby aan die see met 'n amazing uitsig van die see! Sal die plek definitief aanbeveel! Foto's kan nie beskryf hoe mooi dit is nie, 'n mens moet self gaan. At was baie vriendelik en behulpsaam.

The unit was clean and pleasantly furnished, with all the necessary crockery. A few light bulbs didn't work. The roofing on the verandah made a noise in the strong wind on the first night.

The top floor, Marlyn was perfect - a view to die for, undercover braai and the room have everything - massive bath, shower, separate toilet, comfortable bed, and even a little sitting-room corner with TV and a small kitchen but it got everything you need. The room was great, with a cool bathtub and loads of lavender for lavender oil baths. The host was very friendly and helpful, it's also pet friendly and our dogs loved it.

We found the accommodation very good. The unit is equipped with good crockery, decent glasses, good knives and forks, quality corkscrew, large towels. We really enjoyed it and will stay there again.

The trash can was broken and to small for kitchen rubbish (no big bin available) No recycle bin either. Room very tight - no separate bathroom (thank goodness for a separate toilet).

Lounge furniture insufficient for more than overnight and more than one person. Sea view not as indicated and sunset blocked by next door building. Insufficient and unusable braai tools.
The place offers everything one needs for a quick getaway. The large bath is a bonus. The view is also beautiful. There is undercover parking, but the driveway is very narrow. I would not recommend that someone with a wide vehicle tackle this, the chance of bumping the vehicle is high. The location is good and safe. Would definitely recommend, we had a lovely stay.
Suggestion: on the balcony, a wind breaker on the ramp to the parking side would make a difference. Very windy but at least the view makes up for it. A short walk to the beach.

Uncle At is a friendly host. He and his kids went out of their way to say hello to the geyser, although it didn't bother us at all. Vehicle is safely parked, if you can drive.
We stayed in the Marlyn upstairs unit. Photos can't do justice to the amazing sea views you will have and hearing the sound of the waves. The unit is perfect for a couple and the location is nice and quiet, yet close enough to walk to the surrounding restaurants. Absolute value for money. You might sometimes here the people from the main house talking or playing piano but it really didn't bother us. Parking is a little bit tricky up a narrow driveway but again not enough to take away from the great place that this is to stay at. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. A must stay if you are in Paternoster!

Everything was very neat and clean! Bed very, very comfortable. Bed linen and towels smell nice and are nice and soft. Incredible view and even though you are not right on the sea you can still hear the waves breaking. Nice quiet environment but walking distance from restaurants. Everything you need in the kitchen. Would definitely recommend Marlyn and Dolfyn and would definitely stay there again!

Our stay at Marlyn was a wonderful experience! At is a wonderful host and his artworks make the unit unique! Marlyn's layout is well planned and equipped.
