47 guests' feedbackOur host met us at the gate and took us to our tented accommodation, which was better than we expected. Our host was amazing; she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The ablutions were comfortable and clean, and our tent was comfortable and clean. Bearing in mind that you are out in nature and it is not going to be spotless and perfect. I shared a tent with my daughter because we were doing the Elands half marathon the following day - the location was perfect for us. We did feel a bit vulnerable safety-wise because we could not lock ourselves in and kept valuables locked in the car, but other than that, the tent had everything we needed: cutlery and crockery, a kettle, a mini fridge, and enough plug points.
Amazing place with incredible gardens. Feels super safe and is full of little magical corners you can get lost in. The accommodation is basic, clean, easy to find, and the host is friendly and very helpful. I would like to go back to experience this place again as one night was not enough. Totally recommend if you like the old world charm and magic of nature.
The farm is nice to stay at, thanks to the friendliness of the hostess.

One feels rested after the visit to MH Guest House. The people are friendly and make you feel like part of the family. It's quiet by the water and they know the area well. We also really enjoyed the walk to the waterfall. They really go out of their way to make the stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible for their guests.
Very friendly people, great place, but until the roadworks are done one should avoid the place.
Nothing is too much to ask. Nice stop on the way to the wildlife park or if you want to explore Cape Hope. Let the children show you the waterfall against the Crocodile River.

Very nice, peaceful and beautiful farm. Would really recommend it for young kids. There are horses, rabbits, fish and ostriches. The river is within walking distance and there are many hiking trails. Close to Nelspruit and Panorama route. Every moment was fun.

The location and the farm are absolutely beautiful. The gardens are also well maintained. It's just terribly disappointing that the unit we stayed in was dirty and full of cobwebs. The kitchen was extremely dirty, and the fridge was still full of crumbs and things from previous guests. The kitchen was poorly equipped with very few things, but it is advertised as self catering. The couch in the living room is broken. If the maintenance and cleanliness in the units was as good as the exterior, it would be excellent accommodation. We will not stay there again. Especially in Covid times, one certainly does not feel safe if a place is so dirty. When we brought it to the reception's attention on leaving, the answer was just "oh well". Not an excuse or a surprise at all, so they're probably used to it. It's a shame because the location is amazing!

We got a warm welcome, even extended our stay. Can you please put bar fridges in adults' rooms. That would be nice.
Breathtaking scenery. Just what we needed. Ablution block was clean and tidy at all times. Felt safe at all times. We were even provided with enough braai wood. Owners Martin, Annalize and of course Quintin were the kindness of themselves. You definitely have a piece of paradise here. Can't wait to see it in the summer.
Beautiful nature and accommodation along the river in the A-frames with rippling water in your ears all night.
Rooms are also not clean including bed linen, even after a request has been made. It seems that there is no supervision or guidance for the cleaners to ensure cleanliness.
The campsites were nicely in the shade along the river. There were no electrical points and no water taps at the campsites. The bathrooms were outdated and there was no sink. Campers must be well-equipped to camp here.
The area in which the lodge is located is very tree-lined with green gardens and plenty of space to walk. The room is large and comfortably equipped. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. It was very pleasant to spend the night there.

The room is not as it appears on the website: single bed and very sparse. Linen was clean but tired and room needs a lick of paint and some brightening up. There are very annoying peacocks that call from about 2:30 am and the room was close to the very busy, heavy truck traffic road. Truck noise started around 4 am and as there is a T-junction close by, exhaust brakes from the trucks can be very load. If my family had been with me, we would not have stayed.
The caretaker and owners are very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed it, the place is very peaceful and we had a great time relaxing. Will definitely stay there again.
