Martys Place can accommodate 4 adults and 4 children, and offers private rooms, a veranda, splash pool, braai area, wild animal feeders, waterhole, and an upper deck with lounge, dining area and kitchen.
Downstairs there are 3 bedrooms next to each other, each bedroom door leads onto the verandah which has a clear view of the waterhole and wild animal feeders. All the bedrooms have air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms with extra-large showers. The 2 outer rooms have king-size beds and interleading doors to the centre room which has 2 double bunks that can sleep 4 children.
The upper deck has a lounge and dining area, fully equipped kitchen with all cutlery and utensils, fridge, freezer, stove, microwave oven, kettle, pots, glasses and cooler boxes.
The upper deck also has a guest toilet.
After a visit in the Kruger National Park which is only 20 km away, you can relax next to the fire after a swim in the splash pool and view the local game that pay regular visits to Martys Place.

55 guests' feedbackWe had such a great stay at Marty's Place. The rooms were very well equipped and it is so convenient that each room has an en suite bathroom. The braai area with the nice large porch certainly contributed to a very comfortable visit. The children really enjoyed the pool and it was so nice that the animals came to visit so often. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything one could possibly need. The pictures are exactly what you get at Marty's Place. They are very friendly and also had a lot of patience with my children who had a lot of questions. They also made an effort to point out their animals. We will definitely visit again!
Martys Place is lovely. The large covered veranda is very spacious and allows for sitting outside even when raining. The two main bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and clean. The kids' room could do with a bit of upgrading and was not very clean. We would suggest possibly adding a bedside table and blinds in the bathroom. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and did not lack anything. Because the pool is under a thatch cover and does not get sun, the water is very cold, so unfortunately we did not make use of it, but it is lovely to look at. Overall, we had an absolutely lovely time with a good flow of animals visiting. We would love to visit again.

Welcoming staff are awesome. They were very thorough. Had awesome encounters with kudu, zebra, bushbaby, warthog, mongoose and giraffe.
Was very nice we saw a lot of animals. Just couldn't make use of the pool table, was looking forward to a pool game.
Truly a gem in the woods. On arrival Emanueel and Agnes were ready to receive us. Everything was clean and tidy. Accommodation was of high quality. Animals visited us often and we cooled off in the splash pool. Just had a great time relaxing. Not even load shedding could dampen us. Agnes made sure that everything was clean and tidy. 10 out of 10.
Martys Place was really good value for money. We were 6 adults in a group. The caretakers, Angie and Emanuel, made us feel very welcome and cleaned the whole place every day. The pool was not as clean as desired. The water was cloudy with a layer of oil floating on it. The rooms and kitchen were spacious and very well appointed. We saw many animals that came to drink there. Martys Place is very well located and close to all restaurants and shops. Very nice porch and visiting area.

The swimming pool needs attention and was not an asset at the time and we had to go swimming at one of the resorts in the area. Furthermore, we rested well.

Adding WiFi would be very useful (at an extra charge of course). A TV in the upper lounge with at least a "free view" would help - especially with the kids. You show a pool table, but when requested we were told there were no balls or cues? We also could not get the radio/Hi-Fi going. Perhaps just a tad more owner/letting agent QC would sort these things I'm sure. A map of Marloth Park with all salient spots marked would be a helpful addition - as a poster on the wall maybe.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Marty Place. Animals often visited the house. Agnus and Emmanuel were great. Will definitely visit Martys Place again.
It had been a nice weekend, really enjoyed it. Just a pity about the neighbour's children who chased the pigs with a pool noodle. Maybe need to put up a partition or two between the places.

Very nice accommodation. I didn't think the kitchen upstairs would be an issue, but we did find it a slight inconvenience. The staff were helpful and keep the house lovely and neat.

I reported and the technician was supposed to come out on January 30th, which didn't happen and then he only came out on Sunday January 31st and did nothing about the problem. My wife and I tried to sleep in the hot room for 3 nights. The cooling pool was also not right and could not cool us down. The kitchen, which sits above and not below, makes it difficult for old people to walk up and down.
The upstairs living area is terribly hot and unusable, the owners will really have to consider installing an air conditioner there.
We were two families, total of 9 people. The children had a great time playing in the pool. Wild visited often. Agnes and Manuel are a gem and a great asset! We would love to come again!

Very quiet area, close to shops. large variety of animals that come to visit and all are very tame, children really enjoyed it. Rooms are well furnished and so is the kitchen, lovely braai area and nice splash pool. Wish we could stay longer to calm the soul a bit.
Place is neat and clean. Everything is there that one may need. Agnus and Emmanuel are worth gold. It is very nice when the wild animals come to visit every morning and evening to see what is in the feeding trays. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly.
Nice patio, liked that each room has its own bathroom, only the kitchen is a bit of a problem being upstairs, but otherwise we had a good time, just a shame that Agnes wanted us out so quickly on Monday morning to change the bedding was, when we were still taking a shower she was already taking the bedding off, I think Agnes should wait with cleaning until after the guests have left, we left at 8 o'clock, couldn't even have breakfast , was a little disappointed because we would have liked to have driven 10 hours first, wanted to treat my husband to breakfast because it was his birthday.

The bedrooms were great. The kitchen location was very inconvenient - upstairs, with a separate outside entrance. Not ideal in the bush, if snakes are a concern.

Comfortable clean rooms with aircon and en suite bathrooms. Upper floor would have been more convenient if it was part of the rest of the house and needs some attention. Pool had no water in it. Emmanuel and Agnes, the domestic helpers are beyond lovely and very helpful.
We had a lovely stay. The rooms are spacious and 3 of the bedrooms have air conditioning. The only issue was the fact that the kitchen is on the top floor and the rooms and braai area is at the bottom. You have to plan everything well if you don't want to climb the stairs again and again. We will be back!
Martys Place was a pleasant experience for us. Enough space with plenty of outside coolness, places to visit and relax. The 3 bedrooms on the lower level are spacious, each with its own external sliding door and comfortable bathroom. Personally, I would have preferred it if the bedrooms could be upstairs and the kitchen and social facilities were all downstairs. This would have eliminated the going up and down the stairs when you want to barbecue and enjoy the outdoors. If the zips of the furling sail sides on the upper level worked, visiting upstairs would probably have been nice too. Because it is so close to the Kruger National Park, we spent most of the time there every day. In Marlothpark we also saw a lot of wildlife even though the field there is mostly very rough.

Martys Place is really a nice house. The animals are abundant, the house is comfortable, neat, clean and well furnished. All you need is there. I can only say good things about Martys Place. Would definitely stay there again and recommend! I left my heart there.
We really enjoyed our stay with our children and grandchildren. The home was very well equipped and was well situated. We were welcomed on arrival and all was clean neat and tidy. The splash pool was a winner with the grand kids and the older folk enjoyed the braai area very much. The visiting game made this place amazing
We were a group of 10 - two families with 2 small children each and another young adult couple. We were informed in advance that the loft does not have air cooling but does have fans and could therefore prepare. We were lucky with nice cool weather and everyone was very comfortable and relaxed. We had several animals that came to visit, including a blue wildebeest, warthog, mongoose and giraffes. Everything clean and tidy. Agnes and Emanuel were very helpful! Thank you very much!
We were a family with married children, so 6 adults. The two rooms with the double beds were lovely, but the bunk beds were back-breakers, especially because the man was very tall and could not let his feet hang over. We bought forage for the animals and enjoyed them very much, zebra, blue wildebeest, kudu, warthogs and the mongoose. Everything clean and tidy. Could make some improvements, eg. the sails that can not be opened, but we had a lovely stay, thank you very much.
