Very peaceful environment. The place is well equipped. You feel welcome from the moment you get out of your car.
We had a pleasant stay with a beautiful view and a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed with a fan. We loved staying there.

Wilna and John are the friendliest people we have met in a long time. They immediately make you feel at home and make the stay there worth it. It was more than we expected and the location is great.
Very nice, well equipped place with a lovely sea view from the balcony end. The sea is within walking distance and even the shops are close, further plus. John and Wilna are very hospitable and friendly and even Yafika is very helpful and nice. We had a great stay and felt right at home. Will definitely stay there again.

Mattaniah is a wonderful find! The flat is comfortable, well-equipped, spotlessly clean, and very safe. Being able to walk to the beach, keeping your car safely parked is an added bonus.

The host has an incredible affable persona, even helped with carrying our luggage to the apartment from our car. He has 4 adorable dogs, which make the retreat an oasis of tranquility. Very well serviced and clean. Will stay in a heartbeat again.

Plekkie was really very neat, and has everything needed for a getaway. The beach is walking distance from the house, and even the shops were close. It was really lovely to be able to wake up with a view of the sea.

After 5 years we decided to go on holiday after my wife's studies and looked for accommodation to be able to take our dog with us to enjoy the rest as a family. Wilna and John, and every single one of the friendliest dogs, welcomed us with all the hospitality one could possibly expect, but on the contrary with much more. The unit was ready even before check-in time, was clean and tidy and ready to start the holiday. The friendliness and conversation that was shown every morning or afternoon when you ran into Wilna and John created the feeling of a family and not just a business transaction. Me, Cheryl and Jaxx were all comfortable and had a good rest and will definitely visit Mattaniah again for a next holiday, for the hospitality, view, clean beach almost on the doorstep but especially for the silence not only at Mattaniah itself but the environment. It is definitely a change from the Johannesburg noise. Thank you very much for the time we could spend there :-).

Upon my arrival, Wilna went out of her way to make me feel at home. They were always helpful and friendly.
We wanted to get away with our three Basset Hounds, the people went out of their way to accommodate us and the three dogs. The unit we lived in was about 240m from an animal friendly swimming beach. The unit was very neat, clean and met all our requirements. There is also a delicious braai area.
Will definitely come again.
We have no complaints. Has everything and more than we expected. Will go back there again without hesitation.
Owners were the best. Place nice and close to the beach and very cosy.

Our hosts John and Wilna thought about everything and provided the best, well-rounded hospitality. The only problem that we had was that our stay was too short. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We can't wait to be back. Mattaniah Akkommodasie was exactly what we were looking for; warm climate, perfect location, sea view, fully furnished, fully equipped and although the hosts stay on the property, it felt like we were in our own private lodge, the only "noise" we heard was the wind, the waves crashing at night and the birds chirping in the morning. Highly recommendable!
