Very nice stay. Advice followed by hostess to close window early, there are mosquitoes. We all know loadshedding so it wasn't a problem, at least there was a light to use. Well done, calm and tidy. I just couldn't find the remote control for the air conditioner, it gets hot very quickly. Thank you very much for a nice evening on your lovely farm. Beautiful vineyards and the calming effect of the quarry pond with its ducks was a nice way to end the day.

A lovely, friendly host. A neat, well-organised guesthouse. It was a bit of a surprise without air conditioning, and being so warm in the Cape, but enjoyed the stay immensely.

Well-equipped self-catering units. Very basic but clean and tidy. Suitable for one night and/or for someone just looking for a place to sleep. Will not vacation here. No garden or outside areas suitable for just sitting around or hanging out. Fairly expensive in my opinion for the quality of the facilities. Next to a farm pond and mosquitoes were a problem (early January).
It was a bad stay and nothing like the pictures on the web. On arrival there is no one waiting for you and you have to look for people who can help you. The room is simple and the yard itself is not maintained as in the photos.
Middelplaas' rooms are spacious, tidy and highly recommended. Very central location with incredible views of the mountains. You exceeded our expectations, thank you!

Middelplaas is a working farm where the B&B is situated. It's very much like country living and one can relax in this environment. The hosts are great people and more than willing to accommodate. Will definitely stay there again if in the area.
Middelplaas is a piece of diamond with the friendliest service and most delicious breakfast. Not only did I rest, but I was treated like a princess on Women's Day. Even got flowers. A real treat. One feels welcome and at home. I will definitely go again.

Our room was covered with probably more than 30 mosquitoes when we arrived. Although the owner mentioned something about it, they could do more to deal with the problem, like mesh on the open windows facing the pond. The owner was very friendly and we don't have a problem with their service, so we would still recommend.
The place is great, peaceful and the staff members are accommodative but we had two problems: the room was moldy and there were cockroaches.

Arrived during load shedding. Marlon immediately took me to the room with a light to get by. Anne-Marie is the most genuine hostess with broad knowledge about the environment and people.
I have to say it was one of my favorite places because it's central. What was the bonus for us was that the place was very peaceful.
The reception was very warm. The unit was in a very neat condition. The breakfast in the room was more than adequate. Stayed too nice after a lovely visit at Reebokskloof in the afternoon.
The breakfast was very nice. Do look into getting a door for the shower though. We also struggled with the television.

We visited Paarl a bit over the Easter weekend and were just looking for a place to lie down for the evening. Middelplaas welcomed us with open arms and warm hearts. The rooms are extremely neat and practically laid out. Middelplaas is just outside the Paarl but still within reach of the town. We will definitely visit Middelplaas again.

We had a lovely stay, hubby and me. We preferred breakfast where everyone eats together. Your friend might be staying next door but u don't even know. So at breakfast, you could at least socialise, just by greeting. If you are looking for a quiet place, then Middelplaas is the 1 place to go.
The picture is 100% not what it looks like - The pictures that influenced us were the aircon, shaded porch, sliding door to porch, lovely outside breakfast area - Nothing found. The room was oven-hot - no sliding door, no hanging closet for clothes for 3 days no aircon (aircon rooms already taken) - No backup if power is interrupted - Breakfast uninteresting and cold. Broken crockery, one broken knife and one tablespoon and one fork are not brought until later. The manager did her best but it was a spoiled 2 days - left one day early.

The reception was very good. The unit is very neat and clean. All the necessary items for self-catering are there. And the air conditioning was a hit on the hot day. The location is also perfect if wine tasting and fine dining are on the agenda.

Our laundry was done at no extra cost! Thank you very much for that. Just a suggestion - maybe rubber mats in the showers - very slippery.
I am extremely sensitive to bites and I would suggest that your beds be checked for bed bugs to avoid anyone else being affected. As I said I am allergic to bites. A sprucing up of the outside appearance will go a long way in making it the perfect stop over. Which we will consider in the future.
I would advise that the sink, drawers are inspected regularly. Was very wet, but otherwise very beautiful.

It is in a beautiful area with a view over the vineyards. The units are well-equipped and breakfast is served in the unit which is a nice treat. Middelplaas is an ideal place to switch off from the rest of the daily stress. It was peaceful, nice and quiet and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely make a reservation for Middelplaas Paarl Guesthouse again.
My wife and I were warmly received upon our arrival, we immediately felt at home. During the weekend, the hostess made suggestions for us where we could go, as well as when she saw us, followed up that we were still enjoying the stay. The accommodation was very good and we enjoyed the break. The breakfast was worth it. The workers were also very friendly. We will break away there again and recommend Middelplaas.

We were allowed to stay longer than the expected period as our car was in for a service. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating.
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at a beautiful location. The accommodation had everything we needed, topped by the friendly service and great breakfast. It was very clean and our early breakfast requests due to an event attendance we had in the town daily was delivered kindly and promptly and exactly what we needed to fuel us for each day. This place has big plans and great owners, and I look forward to seeing them grow and visiting again. The winter promo of pay 3 nights, get a 4th night free was also a great incentive.

Hospitality was very good, Anne-Marie is really friendly and nice. Our stay was good, but the noise level is hopelessly too high. You literally hear every sound of the persons in the adjoining rooms. We had a hard time falling asleep.
Beautiful, practical and accessible overnight facilities with lovely interior decoration, and a delicious indulgent breakfast served on a tray in your unit. The peaceful farm atmosphere with a view of vineyards and mountains and the friendly and personal service of the owner are wonderful plus points!
