Very good host. The room was neat with fresh bedding. Is directly on the N12, you can't get lost. My only drawback was the sound of trucks passing. Not too bad as the road is not that busy.

Booked a room and was then upgraded because the double room was available. The cost was R100 more than another room.

I waited too late and there was only this place available. There was a sewage smell in the room and I got the feeling that the room was not clean.

We drove with a pull. Two vehicles, one of which was pulling a trailer on which we were pulling as well as guinea fowls in cages. We also took 3 dog children with us. We were received with great attention and care and made to feel very at home and welcome by Awie and his wife. What will stick with me is that we arrived late and Awie was waiting for us at the door. We had no worries about our trek and animals as it was safely behind high gates and there was more than enough parking. Now that's one overnight stay that I would truly recommend from the bottom of my heart.
Just needed a place to rest for a night. Accommodation was very basic, but clean and tidy. Friendly and helpful host. We arrived late and and host pre-arranged takeaway for us at our request.

It is like being in someone's house, sharing bathroom and kitchen with other quests and landlord - everything but the bedrooms. Not our cup of tea.
Pleasant experience.
We had to pay R200 for a room with a bathroom. There was no hot water and only a thin trickle of water came out. So we couldn't take a shower. The mat in the shower was soaking wet after previous visitors. The carpets are dirty and the room was full of dust. Bunches of wires also hung from the wall by the TV. There was no door to the bathroom.
Now that is value for money. Very comfortable and people are very friendly.

We stayed over with our three little dog-children. The owner assisted me (I am 75 years of age) to offload and repack the next day. It was my wife's birthday. I do not know how they found this out, but early evening their daughter brought my wife flowers. This concluded the welcome experience, or maybe took it to the next level.

The place is conveniently half way from home to our destination where we could rest before traveling to Pretoria from Saldanha.

We enjoyed staying at Mirage. Safe and warm accommodation.
Pillowcases were full of spots and the bathroom only has a very impractical curtain. The shower sprays in 7 directions and also only has a curtain with no place for soap and shampoo. I expected the basic stuff for the price, nothing extravagant, but unfortunately there was a shortage of basic stuff with no mirror in the room near a plug. But we were kindly received.

Mirage's accommodation is to be recommended. Beds are comfortable and the hot shower was very welcome. Service is great and vehicle safe.

Friendly reception by the owner and his wife. Maybe not a honeymoon destination, but for that price for an overnight stay right on the main route, with a double bed, en-suite bathroom and air conditioning (allegedly a must with temperatures well into the 30°C!) it's certainly good value for money. Just bring Doom and Tabbard along for the mosquitoes! The lorries passing by at night are a bit disturbing, but the noise is largely eliminated by the hum of the air conditioning. We slept very well, thank you!

For what you pay, don't expect to sleep in the Queen's chambers. Warm bed and hot shower, friendly helpful people. For a quick nap and go, definitely worth it.
I really enjoyed my stay at Mirage Tourist Rooms. It was nice to get a tray with a kettle, coffee, tea, milk, sugar and a packet of biscuits. I just felt welcome. It was also nice to have the use of the kitchen. Upon our arrival we also each got the most delicious piece of carrot cake. It was a big treat. The bed slept great and the bath water was hot. It was very convenient to have DStv.
The people in town are friendly, unlike the inhabitants of Johannesburg.

Have to say thank you, had a medical emergency where owner took me to the dr with his private vehicle for medical treatment and assisted me until I was transported back to hospital in Cape and could not stay in Hope Town. However, was booked for another night but they changed it without any problems.

Bathroom facilities were clean but not private. Bedrooms were mouldy. OK for people who aren't choosy and just need a bed and a shower.
The owners did try very hard to make our stay pleasant, but there is still a lot of work ahead of them. The shower knob fell off when I turned it and the shelf in the bathroom that had dust on it also fell off but the bed linen was clean and so was the room. The fan brought relief to a very hot room. Diners is only one pub we went to and thoroughly enjoyed. Friendly person and very clean and well priced. Would recommend if you just want to come and sleep.
Eveything was nice, but upon arrival the aircon didn't work. They gave us a fan, but it was quiet problematic when we were asleep.
Bathroom does not have a solid door so there is no privacy. Very noisy due to the main road passing right by the front door. The room furniture can be upgraded.
