The surroundings' tranquility is a respite for a weary soul. We didn't want to go, the garden is a loop court, the rooms more than comfortable and well equipped. What an oasis.

The garden at Mirtehof is beautiful and peaceful beyond all expectations and the suite where we stayed was really very well and elegantly furnished and equipped. A bit expensive, probably, for regular use but this was a special trip and for us well worth the fee. The attention we received from the staff was, as can be expected from a top quality accommodation, very professional and friendly and the breakfast was delicious.
We were very impressed by the service and quality. No expense has been spared to make this property absolutely beautiful.
After staying at many places over the years, I decided there was no such thing as utopia. But man, oh man ─ out of the blue. This is the place to experience. For the money you pay, you get a lot.
It was wonderful to stay at Mirtehof. The rooms are clean, neat and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and competent. It is very peaceful in the incredibly beautiful garden. The breakfast is delicious and served in style. The delicious fresh scones are some of the most delicious I've ever tasted. The rescue donkeys are a bonus and the stuffed animals are just the most precious, cute animals. Jomari and her staff made our stay very pleasurable with their kindness.
My wife and I travel a lot in the Karoo and enjoy regularly trying out different accommodation options. Our experience at Mirtehof was one of our top 3 accommodation experiences anywhere in Southern Africa in the last 10 years. Well done to the team at Mirtehof - you have created an accommodation experience that is world class! We can without a doubt recommend you to fellow travelers and we ourselves will be back often to enjoy your piece of paradise.
Dit was soos om terug by die huis te wees. Uitstekende fasiliteit met pragtige tuine. Woorde kan nie verduidelik hoe mooi die eiendom is nie. Soos 'n oase in die middel van die Karoo. Stefan en sy span was baie verwelkomend, vriendelik en gereed om te sien wat ons nodig het. Ontbyt is 'n pragtige affêre! Begin met jou eiers wat direk van hul hoenders afgetrek word, voller as dit, kom hulle nie. Dan maak hulle hierdie heerlike, reuse, wonderlike skons. Ideaal om te hê met die Prins Albert vyekonfyt, heerlik! Die kamers was baie ruim en baie warm. Oor die algemeen 'n baie warm en gemaklike verblyf. Ons kan nie wag om terug te gaan nie.

Mirtehof is one big surprise! The garden takes your breath away and the view over the mountains and garden is a feast for your eyes. The decor is of excellent quality, interesting and one feels pampered. It is very clear that attention to detail has been paid here, which one does not find just everywhere. The breakfast was lovely! Fresh tomatoes from the garden, organic eggs and Karoo sheep sausages! The location is just right, close to the Swartberg Pass and a bit out of town, so it's peaceful and quiet. You can comfortably cycle or jog and come back and chill. The pool area is lovely. Here you can stretch out and lie in the water while having a drink. There is also a lovely giant tree under which you can lie and read. I would definitely not suggest anything less than two nights here!
