Very friendly welcome. Interesting place to stay.
First impression from the outside, was disappointing. Room was neat and clean. Not meeting our expectations.
The Kaapsehoop village is a peaceful place for people to just relax. Nice places to eat and attractions with an interesting history. The accommodation has a TV and fridge with a stove if you want to make things or keep cold, and if you want to stay in bed, there is DSTV to watch.
My wife and I love such a stay. We don't want to feel like we're at home. It should feel like we are in nature.
Very neat, clean unit with secure parking on site. It is well located to be able to reach every part of Kaapschehoop by foot. It's a comfortable self-catering unit for a couple or single traveller, the kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, oven, stove, microwave and kettle.
We only stayed one night instead of the three nights booked because my husband's allergy to dust flared up and his nose was running and his eyes were burning. Also, the owner's dog barked in the middle of the night and woke us up. The borehole pump is situated right outside the bedroom window and makes a noise going on and off all the time.
Lots to see in town, provided you're there over a weekend. Ghost town in the week.
Owner very friendly and made us feel at home.
The cottage is basic, but caters for all needs. Very clean and tidy, and Kim is the perfect host.
Friendly owner, and Kwassie the woof, who provides more information about what can be done and where nice restaurants are. Had a great stay.
