Very peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Close to the N3 motorway. Large room with a nice clean bathroom.
There was more on offer than we even required.
Beautiful rural location.
We arrived Friday. Popped over to Bierfassl down the road. Called Di about the dogs as wanted to be sure they wouldn't run out. Not sure if she was home. Required an iron as we were attending a wedding. I expected that there would be one as this cottage even has a frying pan - a frying pan but no iron. Called Di, not at home to help me out with that. So bad as I had to use my GHD and blow dryer to get my hubbys suit ready. No iron. No hostess. Place smelt stuffy, so I don't think it gets used often. Fish moth found in cupboard where plates are and one of the coffee tray. Cobwebs in corners. Upon leaving Sunday we had to pop the key in a wooden pillar. Me driving the car and standing at the gate, so it wouldn't close so my hubby could slip out. A pity for all the negatives as it's such a beautiful little space with a beautiful yard. I don't think Di was there at all. Sad as it such a quaint place.
Room is very neat and clean, well furnished, safe parking and very friendly owners. Would definitely recommend them.

Lovely cottage with a secluded garden next to the main house. Safe, clean and with everything needed for a 3-night stopover. Just a short drive to the heart of the village.

It was very good value for money. Everything was spotless and there was coffee, biscuits and fresh milk all three days we stayed there. The host repeatedly warned us about loadshedding and there was a generator for this. Everything was fine. Five star accommodation!
We stayed in the cottage at the back of the house and from the moment we were greeted at the gate by the dogs to the moment the same dogs wished us a safe journey after our short stay we felt welcomed and part of the family. The cottage was cosy and comfortable and just perfect and we wished we could stay longer. From the beautiful English garden to the lovely walk through the nearby forest and dinner at the nearby German pub/restaurant (both recommended by our host Wade) we couldn’t have picked a better place to overnight on our way to the Berg. Thank you to Wade and Di, see you next time!
