No real customer care. Four-star and no dining facilities. The adjacent restaurant (recommended by the hotel) was tired and not clean. R280 for three slices of toast and two coffees.

Our room was very large and well equipped with a luxurious bathroom. We had a beautiful and unobstructed ocean view and could see whales in the bay from our balcony while enjoying a complimentary bottle of wine. The wifi was slow and not very good, but it did not detract from our stay.
Everything was neat and clean. Neat bed linen and bath towels. Definitely see us again.
I was disturbed by the empty condom packet in one drawer and a towel that was not clean. For such a hotel it must be perfect. The reception could also be friendlier, it was very businesslike and cold. The service in the restaurant was excellent. We enjoyed breakfast and the people were friendly and the offer was excellent, especially for the price.
We received a free bottle of sparkling wine for our wedding anniversary. The hotel was also helpful in arranging flowers for the room. It was definitely the right place for the occasion.

We stayed over for a weekend and upon arrival were told that we had been upgraded to one of the penthouse suites, which was a nice surprise. The room was very clean and modern and the hotel was nice and quiet. The restaurant was also lovely, just missing a cocktail menu which would have been nice.
The hotel is beautiful with all the decor. Communication from the hotel and website about the breakfast would be just great. It's bad to be told halfway through the 2nd morning's breakfast that breakfast is not included. I would say the hotel therefore does not offer enough value for money. The bed was terribly creaky and the bedding was too small for the mattress. For such a well-known hotel, there should at least be sports channels as well - everyone doesn't just watch football. Location very good and very neat.

The hotel was very nice and beautiful. The rooms were clean, but could have been better. We stayed in room 107 and the drain was smelling terrible! Closed the door all night, but did not help. The restaurant did also close very early for travellers. Very disappointed with stay.

What a beautiful place, we stayed in the penthouse suite beautifully decorated and a view to die for. Thank you Misty Waves for our Christmas present and Christmas crackers that were on our bed when we got back to our room, a lovely surprise.

As a 4-star hotel, it was a bit disappointing that there was no bar service (cocktails by the pool) available and the hotel ran out of champagne (SA sparkling wine). Again as a 4-star hotel, the restaurant menu was very limited and the breakfast was mundane. The room was lovely and very comfortable. As a 4-star hotel, they should have their own restaurant and a cocktail bar (with a view). The hotel has great potential and many of the areas (rooms) looked very under-utilised and very dated. Recommend that the owners take a close look at ways to improve in the areas mentioned.

Upon arrival we upgraded without any difficulty and were offered one of the best suites by the person on duty in Edmond. Nothing was too much for him to do. The suite was absolutely fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again. The regular e-mails and e-mails from LekkeSlaap were also very welcome and kept us informed.
Misty Waves Hotel is a super luxury hotel! Petals on the bed and in the bath, chocolates, chocolate cupcakes: all great treats after a day on the road! Not to mention the beautiful antique furniture!

The hotel upgraded our room without us asking. They went to so much trouble with champagne in the fridge and chocolates on the bed, it felt like a honeymoon, but we've been married for 42 years. It was really incredibly luxurious and nice, thank you very much for them.

Either a neighbouring aircon unit, or a neighbouring sauna facility, was switched on and actively droning for most of the night. Once we were sleeping, we were met by another interruption. We are a married couple expecting our second child, and this was our babymoon, which was meant to provide us with a rare opportunity to sleep in and listen to the ocean, instead of attending to our toddler. However, at 07:14 in the morning, a fire alarm was tripped, apparently by another guest smoking in their room - leaving us no opportunity to continue our sleep.

Was unfortunately in a room without a sea view which I was aware of beforehand. However, this has infringed on the full potential that the hotel can offer. Nevertheless, the stay was very nice and it has to be one of the top destinations in the country.

The hotel is beautiful and equipped, the management of the hotel maintains everything so nicely. The room was very luxurious and a great treat. Beautiful gardens and pool to cool off in. Friendly and professional service. Close to the best places to eat, try Burgendys for excellent food and service. The view of the sea was heavenly. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

It is a family business and the little things that make a stay special are experienced all the time. Cupcakes in the fridge, popcorn at the 16-seat theatre, delicious breakfast and prompt service. It was a pleasant experience.
