Exceeded expectations. Picturesque nature.
We made a reservation very late and we got a quick response. It is a breathtaking view from the main entrance. The campsite is neat. I think number 11 is the best place to camp as it is pretty flat. The shower heads are decent and much better than other campgrounds. The washing up area was terribly dirty and we decided to wash our dishes at our stand instead. Regarding safety, the campsite is right by the road (you also hear trucks passing by from time to time) and the gate was open for a large part of the day. Anyone could walk in and take a look if they wanted to. Other than that it was a nice place to camp, next time we will try to use the pool as well.
Amazing place, where you and the forest become one and experience so much tranquility. Every corner has a story and the natural light is indescribable. The night sounds and clean air. All worth it. Here you will find your heart beating again.

Tranquil environment, private, beautiful, quiet. The deck by the river is absolutely a must to experience. The unit itself is very beautiful and the main bedroom with outside shower is absolutely amazing. If we could we would have retired right then and there.
Very nice, comfortable and clean place to stay overnight in the unspoiled nature in the Blyderivier Canyon. The outdoor shower is very cute, only the sliding doors need a lot of attention for security purposes.
Fridge was very dirty, grasshopper in freezer section which has been there for a long time. Had to clean microwave inside myself.

It's a neat, quiet and beautiful place. Unfortunately, there are no animals to be seen on Ya Mati itself as advertised. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good service.
One problem and reported it. An awful lot of ants in the kitchen and outside on the porch.
We were 10 people and booked the Otter and the River chalets. It worked great and was quite close to each other, yet private. The view is beautiful and we will definitely book there again.
The place is really beautiful and would recommend it for any occasion. The general cleanliness of the chalet was not up to standard. The boiler was really not clean and still of the old kind that could not be lifted and thus burned myself with steam.

I was moved to Mountain View. Total serenity. Accompanied by tweeting birds in a silent thronged bush. In close range with animals.
We were received very kindly. Riverlodge is literally built on the banks of the river with a wooden deck over the river for resting, watching the baboons and bird watching. The chalet is beautiful and luxurious with more than one needs. Our own pool and boma was a pleasant surprise. It's quiet and peaceful because there aren't many people, the staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely stop there again.

Friendly service and good security. Unfortunately, our first impression upon driving into the campsite was not so good. The site is very overgrown and the path within the site is very narrow due to bushes and branches crossing. Was impressed with our pitch which was neatly raked and the clean built-in braai. The ablution was very disappointing. A few lights were blown in the ladies bathrooms, floors were very dirty and not all the toilets would flush. Furthermore, we enjoyed the tranquility in the camp.
