Yes lay people stayed and it was clean and tidy and the people are friendly.
The website refers to "secure parking" which makes one think there is a locked garage or at least a security fence, but the fence around the unit is not of a secure nature - any crook can climb over. The room itself also doesn't have a security gate and only a deadbolt that locks the door - very easy for someone to break open without a noise. The towels and bed linen are clean, but very old - the duvet had a patchwork in a different color and the white towels show beige from age. Also no fan or air conditioner, which is necessary for the terribly hot summers. We requested to consider a refund to us for the one night, but there was no accommodation. We would have appreciated a 50% refund of the one night. There are also literally only 2 of each piece of cutlery in the room - we only washed 2, but you don't want to wash a glass or cup or plate every time for the next use before the cleaners come in the morning. A little more would be more convenient.
The owners went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Daily cleaning included and even DSTV to watch the IRE vs NZ game, which was a lovely surprise. We were even sent the daily loadshed schedule. Thank you.

Enjoyed my stay at Monia. Very pleasant owners and accommodating. Pity my stay was too short but will definitely stay there again, and highly recommended.

Monia accommodation was very peaceful, clean and affordable and very close to everything. When I had problems with my prosthesis, Uncle Nick gave me contact details of another amputee in Graskop who could help me and there we simply made friends. Thank you very much for a nice time there.
It's a bit close to town, but always felt safe. The uncle is super friendly and gave us good advice for our visit to the Kruger and all the attractions in Graskop.

Nice clean and comfortable. We received a larger unit than we had booked, thankfully.
As with all accommodation there is always something missing. In this case, the faucets in the shower were at an angle. One struggles to obtain regulated water (cold/hot). Everything else was fine. We were in Blue Swallows Chalet.
Spacious rooms, plenty of beds. Very clean and the lady who assist in morning is very friendly. Definitely coming back again.

My partner and I spent three nights at Monia, and while we are used to high walls and electric fencing, we felt safe. The place is close to the most beautiful scenery and sites. It was lovely to go out and come back to a clean, fresh room every day. Definitely worth every penny.
The overall stay was excellent, just a little concern about the bed but it was no train smash.

Fantastic place to stay.
Monia is biggest place where you can enjoy your life with family. I think I shall come again in December time with my family again. I like Monia and I recommended it to my friend. It's a nice place next to town. Every thing's a hundred percent, but you must improve your TV, get a new style of TV. All in all it's good and clean and I like it. I have enjoyed a lot at Monia, my children want to come again. I like Monia.

Perfect for an overnight stay. A door or screen in front of the toilet would make it much more convenient. Small but has everything you will need. The TV whistle has become quite annoying.
It is just around the corner from shops, Spar and restaurants. Friendly, helpful management who point out attractions and make recommendations about the best time to visit.
The spring mattress must be changed, it is uncomfortable and it gave me a backache. The toilet must also have a door, privacy is essential - will only recommend Monia to a friend if these changes are made. Customer service from Nick and TravelGround was excellent. The place is nicely situated, less than a 5 minute walk from the shops.
It was wonderful at Monia's. The manager was very helpful from the moment we started our booking and helped where he could right through to our departure. He recommended places for us, the cleaning services were excellent and the place had everything we needed. The owner may start thinking about replacing the bed or just the mattress. It's a little on the thin side and starts sleeping a little awkwardly. But overall it was a lovely holiday and we will definitely use Monia again.
The place is close to the shops where you can do your groceries and get petrol. But we didn't sleep peacefully because the safety of our car was compromised, a proper lockup garage will do.

Monia seemed to be full and we were put up in next door "Blue swallow chalets". This accommodation was fantastic and comfortable.
I will definitely stay there again. The accommodation Monia is really well located, clean and cheap for our lot of Harley riders.
The room was dirty, the cutlery and crockery were dirty and some were cracked. There was no soap to wash hands, just an empty bottle! We slept VERY badly because the spring mattress is broken and hurt us. The room was freezing cold and with only one blanket and no further heat, it was very unpleasant! The toilet and bathroom have no door, it's a shame and I'm sure it's actually unacceptable, I would never have booked if we were aware of it!
I would recommend it though. Although our stay was pleasant, the unit needs a lot of attention. The unit was very damp and stuffy, especially the cupboards. It would help if the unit could perhaps be opened before people arrive. A new bed and much better linen is a requirement. There was no can opener and the cutlery and crockery can also be replaced. We experienced a power outage and no water on the same day. There were no matches in the unit, we had to borrow next door. Apparently there are 2 Richardson Streets in Graskop so better directions would help as the other one is not in a safe area. A welcome cup of coffee would also be nice.
Really affordable place and it is in the middle of many places of interest.
LekkeSlaap's people are very helpful and don't make you wait for answers. It is nimble and fast service. Monia is a lovely house with a nice, tidy garden. Very comfortable, clean and tidy. I can recommend the service, the house and the town at any time.

I will return to Graskop and stay at Monia again. I would, however, recommend changing the mattress.
