I booked for my spouse and he was really happy about the hospitality and the cleanliness of the place. We are happy and we highly recommend Gooderson Monks Cowl.

It's a beautiful place, tranquil and quiet. Friendly staff with a beautiful view.
Sauna was dirty. They decide to cut grass while we were there, my nephew is allergic to cut grass. No fun activities like other resorts. Bathrooms wasnt cleaned properly.
I would suggest that the resort renovate and clean up their grounds like tennis courts, golf course, mini golf a bit. There were some nights we were obliged to eat buffet and not from the menu, for R250 per person it was not value for money at all. The rooms are very old and need some renovation, beds are very old and uncomfortable. Price for accommodation was definitely not value for money. Staff is very nice and helpful.

The place is very cute. But als feels quite old and not so well maintained. For the amount per night you expect quite a lot, I was disappointed.
The resort heard we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and went out of their way to spoil us, it was rose petals on our table a delicious bottle of red wine and congratulations galore. every day we ate the most delicious food in the restaurant which was tastefully prepared, the resort is probably located in one of the most beautiful parts of our country and it was very special for us to be able to celebrate our milestone there. We made good and beautiful memories at Monks Cowl that we will always cherish.

Reception very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and spacious, it was our second time at Gooderson Monks Cowl and it still as good as the first time. Food excellent.

The self-catering units are beautifully decorated, very clean and homely. No need to go elsewhere, kids can be entertained in resort. Loads of different activities to keep them occupied. An overall lovely experience and will definitely recommend it to others.
Accommodation is in a beautiful setting in the Champagne Valley, although optimal views of the mountains so not appear to be available from most rooms. Rooms modern, very clean and well-appointed. Staff friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast have good variety and are excellent.
