Very good service from the agent, and nice cozy house. Overnight was good, would have liked to stay longer. Fireplace was excellent in the cold weather of the Northern Cape.
It was such a lovely experience staying in Morendat House. The first thing that struck me as I walked in was that it smelled so nice! Next thing was the interesting architecture and sensitive restoration. Finally it was tastefully decorated. A dishwasher and lovely wine glasses also made a big difference. I would definitely stay there again but would allow more time to explore the town and surrounding area.

I highly recommend Morendat House to anyone staying over in Graaff-Reinet. It is such a sweet house, lovely furnished, equipped with everything you need. Air conditioning ensures a comfortable stay on warm days. We enjoyed every moment of our stay so, so much! Thank you.
We love the old buildings in the Eastern Cape, owner very helpful with information about the town.
We had a great time in this tastefully furnished guest house. Too bad the town has a water crisis because we couldn't shower. However, this was beyond the guest house's control.
We are heart people and prefer to meet the owner or manager himself. It was quite strange that we never met them. All communication was by telephone.
The house has everything that you need. Directions to the house was easy. Everything was comfortable and well-kept. We were uncomfortable with the cars having to park outside in the street for the night. There were other car alarms going off throughout the night. Luckily there was no incident with our cars.
We had a great stay and the house has everything you need for a nice stay. Everything was exactly as we expected and can recommend it.
Everything was neat. Rooms were clean and bedding as well. Nice relaxed atmosphere under the roof at the back door. Safe and quiet to rest.

The host contacted us beforehand to make sure what time we were going to arrive. when we arrived we found the keys with ease. The house was beautiful and neat. 2-bedroom house, each with its own bathroom, also a lounge and a kitchen. The house is centrally located, walking distance from the CBD. Will recommend this beautiful place to anyone.
Packing space and hanging area are limited in the rooms and bathrooms, but I'm sure they will improve it.
Photos and description of Morendat House are misleading and give no indication of deficiencies. We felt the owners had succeeded in keeping the character of the lovely house. Unfortunately, too many basic necessities were missing to make our stay pleasant, e.g. towel rails, hanging space for clothes, etc. Patio furniture was broken and dirty. We did not meet the hosts, but sent a complete list to the hostess, Nilene, and received feedback that they would attend to it.
