Marcelle is an excellent hostess and the lovely quality coffee with rusks as well as the surprise chocolate at the bed made for a special stay. Beautiful and modern as well as very safe. We would highly recommend this accommodation.
Our room did indeed have a mountain view, and was more spacious than we expected. The little kitchen area had all one needs to make a warm drink or heat a meal. Everything was clean and well organised. A good stay, thank you.
We had a very nice stay. It is neat, clean and very modern. It is also very well located near the main street and all the big wine farms.
Accommodation is very modern and comfortable. Unfortunately no backup for loadshedding.
What you see in the photos is exactly what you get. A lovely, comfortable, space which is well-situated with a view of the mountains. This unit cannot be beaten for value for money. The rusks and different coffees and tea were much appreciated. We received a warm welcome from Marcelle. Although our car was parked on the street, it wasn't an issue and was quite safe. I would recommend Mountain View Cottage to anyone.
It was just right for the short time we were there.
Can recommend that the skylights may be closed in some way. The room has been light since very early in the morning. Other than that, everything is perfect. Very good value for money.

The unit is in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful mountain view. The room and bathroom are very modern and have all the comforts one needs. It was nice and warm and cuddly. There was also a large selection of coffee and tea laid out for us to choose from, as well as delicious health biscuits. We will definitely come back again.

The apartment is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bed and linen is good quality and the bathroom is beautiful. The view of the mountain from the comfort of the bed is spectacular. The hosts were welcoming and helpful and we would happily visit again.
Liked the little extras like Sally Williams nougat on each bed, flowers in the bathroom and bedroom. Super bathroom. Convenient to town could easily walk. Would suggest hosts consider blinds at the entrance to the cottage as in summer we thought the sun would wake one up earlier than perhaps we would want.
It was the perfect place for me and hubby to stay over for a night. Everything was very neat and clean. Very cosy and the view of the mountain was beautiful.

Greeted very warmly, nice location, not too far from Main Street but quiet. High roof keeps cold. Very nice bed and bathroom. Kitchenette basic as advertised but was greeted by coffee (plunger and Nescafé) and milk in the fridge with rusks.

Tastefully studio apartment with everything you require, close to centre of town, yet quiet , peaceful and stunning views. Lovely area to take walks after a day of sightseeing.
The room and bathroom are in a modern building style with a beautiful view of Franschhoekberg. The furniture is neat and matches the modern building style of the house. An effective alarm system helps Gautengers to sleep even more soundly. The environment is neat and very quiet. We would have liked to extend our two night stay by another night, but other bookings were pending.
We had a very nice stay. Top quality finishes everywhere. But the most important thing was the way our hostess made us feel so welcome.
The accommodation was excellent and so was its location. Marcelle is also a very pleasant hostess. I would easily stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the small touches like fresh milk, risks and filter coffee. The unit is within easy walking distance of the centre and the surrounding area is picturesque and peaceful. We were lucky to have very good weather.
Marcelle received us very kindly and made us feel at home. The location of the apartment is literally walking distance to the town itself and a cute little pond for that bit of extra nature. The apartment is modernly furnished with a lovely little balcony that looks out onto the Franschhoek klippe pass. Our short stay was pleasant.
Marcelle was a wonderful hostess who communicated with us in advance regarding arrangements. There were many "extras" such as electric blankets in the cold, delicious coffee and tea and biscuits, bottles of water and chocolate. Thank you very much for the treat!

An incredibly beautiful and spacious cottage with a fantastic view. The water and chocolate in the fridge was a great surprise. Franschhoek is a very hot place and for us an air conditioner would be very welcome.
It was such a treat to stay in Marcelle’s Mountain View Cottage. It was clean, beautiful and had wifi and Netflix too. We are very fortunate to have had such a wonderful experience in Franschhoek in such a convenient location, close to the main center. A true gem, thank you Marcelle for having us.

Would have preferred to park my car inside but Franschhoek is very safe. Bathroom very spacious and plenty of headroom for shower. Would recommend Mountain View Cottage anytime and Marcelle was very pleasant and room painfully tidy.

Marcelle welcomed us and explained a few details regarding the cottage. But nothing prepared us for the cottage itself. Modern, clean, beautiful linen and towels. Variety of coffee and tea! Milk and water in the fridge. Beautiful smelling hand wash and lotion in a big bathroom with big shower and bath. Huge comfortable bed, beautiful views. And the little extra (chocolate covered nougat) on the bedside tables was just super thoughtful! The location is central - if it wasn't so hot we would have walked everywhere.Thank you Marcelle for making our stay in Franschhoek so enjoyable! We will definitely be back.
