21 guests' feedbackNyala Hill is the perfect place to switch off and relax. The house is well equipped (except for the lack of a toaster oven). The caretaker was also very helpful and friendly. The water pump caused problems during our visit which made showering difficult, but this is being addressed according to the caretaker.
The house is beautiful and spacious. Lovely view of the woodland. The garden is beautiful and there are two boma areas separate from the house, half hidden in the woods. Very pretty.
What an awesome stay! Highly recommendable. This was the most amazing holiday ever with my young adults. Loved every moment. Very clean, spacious, friendly staff! Pity that the swimming pool was not heated because we would have used it more (we had a few cool days) and it was advertised as a heated pool. The indoor fireplace didn't have gas, so that was also a pity. Other than that, awesome.

The view is amazing, exactly the way you see it on the pictures. Thomas was very helpful and ready to assist anytime. They just need to fix the deck and their water system. Overall, great place.
Lovely house, we really enjoyed the pool and patio area and spent most of our time there. Thomas was fantastic. View for days.
My only comment is that we were expecting a dishwasher and deck chairs. Neither were there. Both would have been nice.

Once a year my friends and I break away on a ladies' weekend and this place ticked all the boxes. We were welcomed with a friendly face, a clean and tidy house, everything we needed and more, a beautiful view and just too many others to mention. We absolutely loved every minute of staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone who would like a peaceful break away from the city. Will definitely book here again.

Good facilities and view is amazing.
Everything is provided, you need not take anything except food. Remember is an amazing guy who cannot do enough for you, all he wants to do is make sure you are happy with everything and his knowledge of the surrounding area is very valuable. Very happy person. Will definitely be back to visit!
Will definitely go back. We were 7 adults and 1 child (5) and everyone had a fantastic time. Remember is there to clean and look after the property and was very helpful with all kinds of information.
The indications were very unclear. I had to look for a signal on the dirt road to call LekkeSlaap. Only then was I told there was a gate and the code was sent. The toilets' flushing mechanisms need attention. Promise was very helpful and fantastic!
Not only is Nyala Hill's location perfect, the stay was more than we could have asked for. The atmosphere is peaceful. Everything was just perfect. Can recommend this accommodation with love with a big heart full of gratitude.
Close to the city but far enough away to feel like a break. The house was very well-equipped. The house managers (Remember and Thomas) were more than willing to help. House being serviced daily helps us sit back and relax. Will most definitely be back.
We went with our extended family to Nyala Hill for a weekend getaway and it exceeded all our expectations. The house is beautiful, very spacious, neat and clean but the fact that it was only 1 hour outside Pretoria was the highlight. The view is unsurpassed and naturally attracted us to the outdoors (away from TVs, ipads and phones). The heated pool was a hit with the kids, but we felt we had to keep an eye on the smaller kids more than usual because of the "waterfall". For the grown-ups, it was the perfect cocktail hideaway. The house was set up for just the basics for "loadshedding" schedules but it didn't bother much because the stars were at their most beautiful then. And yes, you can hear the lions during the evenings (sometimes felt a bit closer than I was comfortable with). Only negative was unfortunately the way up to the house. It's very steep and not necessarily the prettiest road, so leave the low city car at home, but without the steep elevation you can't have the view. We had a great time at Nyala Hill!
The arrival was very nice and the welcome was very good. Would go again anytime with my family.
Als is in its place, the heated pool is just a bonus! One of the best places I have ever stayed. And the lions that roar in the evening are the best!
