The accommodation was well appointed and a great location. The bedding and kitchens are lovely, as are the fireplace and lounge areas. Would love to stay there again.
Slept over one night - was on my way from Gauteng to the North Coast. Took the Umgeni room as we were 4 people (2 x double bed). Was perfect for the family.
Loved the Old Rearsby and the view. Just a pity there wasn't anywhere to eat, except at the hotel. Next time we will definitely bring our own food. The kitchen is small but practical for a single night. The staff were friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed the breakfast, the electric blankets and the heater in the bathroom. The fireplace was nice however we struggled to get it lit the second night. The place was just too cold and we struggled with the door. All in all in a good location.
Beautiful countryside accommodation with all the luxuries for a comfortable night's stay. There is a fireplace in the bedroom and electric blankets on the bed, you will never get cold! The view is spectacular, calming you and putting you back down to earth. The staff was very friendly and we had a delicious breakfast.
What an incredible experience. Peaceful, quiet and safe with everything a visitor would need and a warm welcome too.
Perfect for a quick overnight stay, only downside is there is no TV.
Room no 1 is large, elegant and very tidy. Adele and team immediately made us feel at home. Enjoyed a delicious dinner and the breakfast was also top notch. Our perfect halfway mark between Pretoria and Ballito.
Nice farm feeling, but no one there when we arrived.
I will definitely go back, it was the kind visit where your soul finds you. If you want quite great views and blue sky this is the place. The WiFi needs a bit of help in range and speed but is practical for standard cell use. (Good for a hide away, not so good for an addict like me.) Overall just an amazing place.

Very nice place. We had a nice time.
We stayed at Old Rearsby in 2013 and went back specifically because we enjoyed it so much. The one room was ok. The second room was not prepared for guests. There was coffee, but no milk or sugar. A kettle, but not a stove. We had to boil water for coffee in the other room. There was also no water in one room and we all had to shower in the other room. Furthermore, not really complaints, but advice for management. When we arrived there was no one at reception. The mobile phone was not answered, the landline was not answered and the rooms were still locked. We were stranded until Brian came to help the other guests who also had a problem and we happened to spot him. As for the security, I don't know what the risks are. It is very open and exposed.
The location is very good, but the road leading to Old Rearsby is full of potholes. The house is cleaned every day and is well equipped. Stay was pleasant and tidy although repairs are needed to toilet (seat broken) and fridge (doesn't get cold).

Would recommend Old Rearsby to anyone - very comfortable and convenient and luxuriously appointed - only pity we stayed one night! Thank you very much for the wonderful stay, where the four-legged children were also welcome!
