Very calm and had a good barbecue!
Olyf Takkie so far is the best self-catering guesthouse we stayed in this year, and as an added bonus, it was value for money. It had all the things you needed. The decoration and extra personal touches speak of great taste. The private (braai) area was a great spot to relax after our travels. I would definitely recommend Olyf Takkie to anyone looking for accommodation in Beaufort West.

We had a lovely stay at a beautiful space. The host was a gracious and friendly individual that really made us feel welcome.
It was immensely enjoyable. Place is perfectly clean. All the amenities were there. Very kindly received by host despite the difficult situation with his wife who is in the Cape for cancer treatment. Very quiet and peaceful area.
Olive branch is a particularly beautiful, comfortable place where you have all the facilities you need. The reception was very friendly. The only problem was that we only slept there one night. Definitely a 10 out of 10.

Olyf Takkie sets the new standard for overnight accommodation. We spent the night there on our way to Table View and all our accommodation after Olyf Takkie was measured by the standard of Olyf Takkie, and honestly, no other accommodation could hold a candle. Thank you very much for a nice and clean place, with friendly people who already started inquiring about our expected arrival time to welcome us an hour or two before our arrival. Very cute and neat place. The unit is well equipped with everything we needed. The air conditioning was very welcome. The beds and bedding were very clean and we slept very well. The parking area is safe and secured by means of an alarm protects that picks up movement. The owners are friendly and very hospitable. I would definitely recommend staying at the Olyf Takkie.

There's nothing nicer than being greeted by a great host, Deon, and then entering a beautifully decorated and highly functional 4-sleeper. There's a small private garden with a built-in braai, and it was lovely sitting outside while the sun set. The kitchen is perfect and offers everything a traveller needs. The shower water pressure and temperature were blissful, and the beds were exactly right for us. We are so impressed and will book here for our next trip in 2024. What a delight to find such a perfect spot!

Deon received us kindly and explained everything. It was the neatest, cleanest and most well-kept self-catering place we have ever stayed at. Very safe with an alarm and a key safe if you have to leave early. There were biscuits, coffee, tea, milk and water in the fridge. It was lovely to spend the night there on the way to Cape Town.

The Olyf Takkie is a clean, tidy, safe and quiet and ideal for our three generations of women to use as a resting place on the way back from our 'road trip': Cape Town to Bethlehem and back. There were extra blankets (such thick, soft, clean blankets) available. There was also nice, hot water in the shower. WiFi was available even during load shedding. Everything is brand new and modern. We were very warmly received and soon felt at home. The place is beautifully and tastefully furnished and very well equipped. We regretted that we only spent one night there.
