We had such a great stay - our room was well appointed, clean and tidy, and had the most beautiful views. An excellent hostess! We will definitely make a visit here again when we need to book accommodation in the area.

The host and hostess received us kindly and showed us where everything was and how everything worked. The room is very spacious and has a beautiful bathroom with bath and shower. Everything is super clean. There is a kitchenette with enough cutlery and crockery, a large fridge and even a Snappy Chef plate. The unit has 2 balconies and you can barbecue at the one next to the kitchen. Lovely view of the golf course. Air conditioning was a lifesaver in the hot weather. Owners respect your privacy. We will definitely stay there again when we are in Robertson.

My parents stayed there for a wedding. The view over the golf course, surrounding vineyards and the mountains made us feel close to nature. The hosts were extremely friendly and very helpful. The air conditioning was a huge plus, especially at this time of year! The guest house's garden is beautiful and the roses charmed us! We will return to this tranquility any day.

Vicky and Johan were very friendly and our reception was far better than any 5 star hotel. The room (on the 15th) offers its own kitchen with all amenities we didn't know about. We were going to eat out that night, but then just decided to enjoy sushi and wine on the room's veranda while looking out for the excellent view of the mountains. The house and room were very neat. Rooms are far apart so you don't even know other people are in the house. The golf estate has a lot of security, so went for a walk on the trail in the evening. The clubhouse is near their house with a restaurant. We enjoyed the smell of baked biscuits the night before we went to bed, and enjoyed it the next morning with coffee. We both had birthdays that weekend and really appreciated the gifts. The large bed is top quality with quality linen, and the bathroom is particularly neat and clean. Very good value for money.

If you want to get away to the quiet countryside, definitely a place to visit. Just wish I did not have to work.
From the time we arrived at the gate, until we checked out the next morning, everything was one big underwhelming experience. Firstly we had to wait for 30 min at the gate of the estate because the guard did not have our name on his list. It was 30 degrees and we were really surprised he couldn't get hold of Vicky on her cell phone, when she finally came out she apparently had no air time. 2 things if you want a guest house: Make sure the guard at the gate knows about your people and airtime is surely a basic business essential? So, without really apologizing we followed her home. Once there, she did not introduce herself but just walked ahead with my husband to the room that was up the stairs. To my great embarrassment, she asked him, in the third person, as if I wasn't there, if I would be okay with the stairs! Well, I can get my extra kilos up the stairs and I would have said something myself or she could have just discreetly asked me if it was okay that the room was upstairs? Once in the room, she didn't really explain what facilities the house offered. It's an ordinary house with a kitchen, etc. on the ground floor but we were not told if and where we can barbecue, the kitchen is under a self-catering facility or they live under. She was just looking through the drawers and was surprised to come across a ribbon that someone had left there and told me, who is a stranger, that she gets so angry when the guests take away the ribbons she puts around the towels as souvenirs (I don't feel like you share those types of sentiments with new guests). Then, there was no WiFi, isn't that a basic requirement these days? My husband should have gone and asked for the password and at least got it then. As for the satellite tv, the channels are controlled by vicky and her husband so we could only watch the stock markets, golf and national geographic, depending on what they preferred. Above the TV was a small sensor that apparently picked up the remote, but we turned it away because, call me paranoid, it really looked a lot like a webcam and pointed right at the bed. So. Seeing that we didn't know which part of the house we were still allowed to enter or what was going on, we ate KFC in the room. Lastly, the shower had used bottles of Head and Shoulders and a used bottle of shower gel in it. Who knows who else has used it in their shower routine! And finally, we just left the key there with the check-out, we called and called, but no one was there, so maybe we were alone all night on the top floor of an empty house? No what, I would really think 3 times before spending R800 for a night here.

The accommodation was central and very comfortable close to all the places we wanted to visit. Close to the wonderful Four Cousins Restaurant, Graham Beck Wine Farm, Van Loveren Wine Farm, Vijoensdrift where you could enjoy a boat trip on the Breede River and enjoy good wine and snacks. There is still much more that we wanted to do and we will visit again to visit other places. Robertson is also central to being able to visit further in the area, e.g. Ashton.
