The Purple Room has a double bed and a single bunk bed. The Green Room has 2 single beds that can be converted into a queen-size bed on request. A camp cot and stretcher can be provided in the Green Room on request. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, one with a bath, shower, basin and toilet and the other with a shower, basin and toilet. There are electric blankets for use during the winter. Each room also has a bar fridge, kettle, microwave, fan, rusks, coffee, tea, sugar, cold water and milk. Please note that the rooms do not have air-conditioning.
Each room has its own braai facilities and wood is available for purchase. Freezer facilities and safe parking are also available. Pets are allowed at an extra cost of R50 per pet, but only if arranged in advance.
Visit the Colesberg-Kemper Museum, Doornkloof Nature Reserve or even Gariep Dam, and have a delicious meal at Die Plattelander, Bordeaux, Horse and Mill, Innikraal, as well as Die Chargo Padstal, which is about 2 km from the accommodation. Guests are also welcome to climb up Skiet Mountain.

The apartment was safe, our car stayed overnight in a garage, the owner had large freezer facilities as we were traveling with raw meat, the room was well appointed, and there was a safe garden where our puppy could run around. The hostess was very helpful and friendly.

Got Press Room. Very small, but neat and clean, and all the treats are available. Jeanine took very good care of us, and we were able to rest wonderfully. Bed was comfortable and it's perfect for a one night stay. The biggest bonus was the lock up garage for our vehicle. There is definitely peace and quiet.

Reception was friendly and parking safe. The doors only open a quarter of the way then it hits the bed. The place is too small for a double bed but a single bed can work. Bathroom door has a loose mirror and wants to fall off if you touch the door. On arrival place full of bugs.
Neat and peaceful place but room has no windows only a sliding door and the place was extremely hot, there was a standing fan and roof fan but for that type of heat it was unbearable.

Room is a bit small, but they are friendly and could tell me the history of the town and tell me where the nice places to visit are. There was a good selection of coffee and enough blankets for the terribly cold winter and a heater.
Stay was very pleasant. The hostess was very pleasant. Would recommend that the accommodation gets an air conditioner as it is in one of the hottest parts of South Africa.
Accommodation facilities are comfortable, but needs more entertainment. No TV and the magazines are very old.

Of my arrival at Out of Africa was just a special moment. Room was clean with clean bedding. The view of the mountain from the bathroom is breathtaking and the owner makes everything special with her bubbly personality and personal attention and a lot of effort.
Reception was very friendly and I had a nice time with the lady. Place is small, but sufficient for overnight stay. It was very nice and clean and we can recommend it.
For a night's rest it was pleasant.
The place is in shambles and shouldn't be advertised. The price is ridiculous. The toilet isn't working. The kitchen facilities are fenced with mesh wire that looks worse than a chicken coop. Poor facilities. The bedding was very old and dirty. The bathroom is dirty with open bottles of soap and shampoo. The room is advertised for 4 people, but it's barely big enough for 2. Very bad experience for the price.
Best place to sleep, good hospitality, pleasant, will stay there again, enjoyed it, the owner is really friendly and makes you feel at home. Typical Karoo hospitality.
The room was compact, tidy, good value for money. Janine is a very hospitable person. I felt at home and very safe. The only aspect I did mention was the possible installation of a mesh door to keep midges and mosquitoes out and still be able to keep the door open. I will definitely stay there again.
The accommodation was okay for a one night stay over. I would have preferred not staying in the main house although we were private.
We had a good stay and the accommodation is of the cheapest in Colesberg. The only negative thing is that the room is a bit small. If you are only staying overnight the small room doesn't matter.
No place to hang clothes - all the closets are locked. Just one bed lamp. Bathroom door's lock only works sometimes. Electric blanket's controls are directly underneath your shoulders on both sides of the bed. Not really private - part of a house.
