From the beach you can follow the famous Cliff Path all the way to either Grotto Beach, or going West, all the way into town and even to the harbour. Along the path Whale watching is spectacular in season (July to November). Access to the Mountain Contour Path, which leads to Fernkloof Nature Reserve, is about 500m from Palmers Place.

The place had everything we expected and needed. Nice and private.
Lovely toiletries, muffin, hotcross bun, butter and milk. The private garden was an absolute joy with an east and mountain-facing cheerful unit. Very safe parking behind a remote-controlled locked gate. The property has a sense of peace and the unit is very quiet and private.
Comfortable and neat.
Service was friendly, and appreciated the extras provided. There were power cuts in the whole of Hermanus, and the aunt put a flask of boiling water for me outside the door so that I could drink something in the morning. And there was a gas stove for later use as well. WiFi may need some upgrading, was slow.
We were only there for one night for a wedding in the Heaven and Earth Valley. We were able to negotiate to book in earlier so we could get ready for the wedding and arrived late in the evening during load shedding, but were pleasantly surprised by a kitchen light and bedside lamp left on. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, the next morning we were spoiled by her with a flask of hot water for coffee or tea, when the load shedding caught us again as we woke up. The Voëlklip beach is just down the road, and there is a great coffee place on the way to the sea, so after we checked out, we just went for a walk along the sea. All in all a great place and location to stay, especially if you're just looking for a place to sleep between activities in and around Hermanus.
Our hostess was the best! We're out there with plants! It was truly as if we had known each other for years. The place offers everything one needs. Crisp linen and very neat and clean. We'll be back one of these days!

The apartment is quite complete, very neat, but also small. There is one small kitchen, shower and toilet and the bedroom. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Accommodation ideal for 1 or 2 people, walking distance from everything. Very neat, clean and modern with everything you need except television. Extra pampering with muffins, fruit, yogurt and filter coffee in accommodation is a bonus.

Wow, it was definitely lovely to stay here for one night. My husband and I needed a place to sleep for a night before a Marathon race and this was perfect! Barbara made us feel so at home, with fruit and other snacks in the fridge. Definitely value for money!
Owners are very friendly and hospitable. Place is well furnished and very beautiful. There was everything we needed and a little extra pampering. Plate of fresh fruit to enjoy and a light breakfast in the fridge. Will definitely choose the place again if I go back to Hermanus.

Slept well in a tasteful small en-suite outdoor space finished and equipped to the last detail - the hostess had thought of everything one would need. Fresh breakfast. A fresh bunch of fragrant lavender in the shower curtain as a little extra. Located in a nicely finished private garden with a dining area and extra outdoor shower to wash off the sea and sand. Safe. The hostess kindly waited for me at 22:00. There is everything you need for a great sleep and breakfast, but not to stay in all day unless you want to read a long book. You should go out and enjoy the wonderful surroundings.

A wonderful time to relax, watch whales and explore Hermanus. The place is just right for two married people who have something to celebrate (in our case 20 years of being married!). Barbara's kindness and her extra care - from complimentary fruit and yogurt to a car wash to help the water-poor Capetians - was a very pleasant surprise. These people really care about their guests and we can heartily recommend them.
Clean, tidy and an apartment as I expected. Barbara is a wonderful hostess and understands your needs before you ask. Without question, she went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable under the circumstances. The unit is as described and there are no unnecessary items taking up space. What you need base is there, and more. Her communication is very good from booking to goodbye. Fresh fruit, muffins, biscuits, juice and the normal tea, coffee etc. is provided. Very neat place and would definitely recommend it.
Very peaceful area, the ideal place to stay if you're looking for privacy, but also close enough to the shops and eateries in case you wanted to eat out. There are also a couple of beaches within walking distance with the nicest walking trails. The Saturday market is also closeby and quite an experience to visit.

Barbara spoilt me with extra treats like fruit, joghurt, rusks and milk. Small room on the main road south out of Hermanus, but quiet enough as it's behind the house. Ceiling fan would be nice, however there is a small fan next to the bed. Good shower and very good Wi-Fi internet.
The host was very hospitable. Made us feel very welcome. The cottage was very neat and modern and very clean. Will definitely do it again and have already recommended it to many others.
