It's value-for-money accommodation in Paternoster, where accommodation can be quite overpriced due to the coastal town's popularity. The rooms are spacious and clean and tidy and the view over the bay excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves excellent food, also good value for money.

The room was spacious and the bathroom very modern. The bed was very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The lodge is very well located in Paternoster and it is possible to walk to many of the restaurants and to the beach.

Advertised as self-catering although it was not set up as such. Just a bar fridge. No microwave, no cutlery, no stove or any facilities for cooking. Very negative about it. Got the manager but they couldn't move us, did bring plates from the kitchen.
No Wifi available and the shower and sink drains kept backing up.
Not good value for money. Unit price too high. Breakfast below average. No top sheet on bed. Smart TV with wifi is advertised but wifi is so bad that Smart TV does not work. Unit was clean and tidy.
Spacious, clean rooms, with tasteful decor. Comfortably equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Also located in a fantastic area with easy access to everything Paternoster has to offer.
Unfortunately, the restaurant and bar are closed on Mondays. We specifically chose the place because we had driven from far away and didn't want to drive around looking for a restaurant, but just wanted to relax. Unfortunately they were closed and just waited for us to check in before everything else was closed.

The rooms were excellent. Unfortunately the bathroom is neglected, no place inside the shower to put your things. the toilet seat is 2 sizes too small for the toilet and hangs crooked (dangerous for use). The plugs in the rooms do not work. The staff happily made up for the inconvenience. They were extremely friendly and helpful. Wanted to send people right away to fix it, but we preferred to leave it like that. They can fix it before other guests come in too. The breakfast table was the biggest treat. Absolutely five star. I will definitely go there again.

View is 'stunning'. The rooms are nice and clean. Close to all the delicious places to eat. Walking distance from the waterfront.
Everything was as expected, everything worked.
The entrance to the rooms is a bit open for the public to see, but otherwise very clean and large. There is a beautiful view of the entire Paternoster beach. The included breakfast is delicious and the service friendly. We couldn't sleep at all the first night because of a crack on top of the corrugated iron roof. But the next morning the staff did everything they could to find the problem and it was fixed so from then on we could sleep peacefully.

It was amazing. Beautiful setting, friendly staff, neat and tidy and good value for money. Would recommend it anytime - within walking distance of everything. Restaurant's food is delicious.
Would recommend Paternoster Lodge to anyone who wants a clean place with the comforts of home.
Place was beautiful. But to pay almost R3000 for 1 night and children sleep on a small sleeper couch right next to the bed, in my opinion, is ridiculous. There were no towels in room, and glasses and mugs were only "catered" for two and not 4. There was 1/4 toilet roll which quickly ran out throughout the evening with two little girls. There's more that I'm not even going to mention, but really feel like we didn't get value for money at all. We traveled the West Coast for a further week and everywhere we paid under R1500 for far better offers.
