One of my specific requirements when looking for a place to stay is WiFi. There was no WiFi available in our room.

From the reception to the lovely room, the friendly service of the staff to the delicious breakfast and dinner, everything was just outstanding! The location next to the river with the beautiful lawn and swimming pool definitely makes it worth coming here to relax after a long drive. It's definitely our place to stay in Upington in the future!
The guest house's reception is excellent and nothing is too much trouble for this team. Rooms are well serviced and you can't help but relax with the picturesque view over the Orange River!
Great hospitality and service - great establishment.
The accommodation is very beautiful against the Orange River. Rooms are luxurious and modern. We drove back to the Cape early the next morning, then the staff put a lot of effort into picnic packs for us for the road. Will definitely stay there again!

Rooms are clean, tidy and very comfortable. With a 3 year old boy there was enough lawn and water to keep him busy. Parental supervision important! Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful sunsets, river and tranquility on your doorstep. The dinner and breakfast were of the highest quality for sure!

When you drive in, you drive down a lane of rose trees, it's an incredibly beautiful environment, the reception was friendly and quick. What a beautiful room with a lovely view of the river. There is a kitchen with kettle and complimentary tea and coffee. You have access to a variety of drinks (which you pay for once you leave). You can also order from reception. En suite bathroom with lovely large bath as well as shower. Two double beds with air conditioning in room. A lovely breakfast with a river view greeted us in the morning. There is a swimming pool.

After a long journey with a 3-year-old, we were able to relax wonderfully on the green lawn. One room was equipped with one wie braai (which overlooked the river) - early start on a holiday, Can definitely recommend.
Excellent location and service.
I booked online - when we arrived they had no information of our booking or vootout payment - software problem apparently. Music in dining room played repeatedly (very annoying). These were only problems and the rest was great - 5 star.
We had a nice stay - the room is comfortable and the staff is friendly. There is a beautiful swimming pool with a deck next to the river. The only disappointment was the breakfast. The fruit was not quite as fresh and the hot breakfast seemed neglected. For a 4-star one expects more.

The guesthouse is very stylish and elegant. The rooms have a beautiful view of the river. My husband and I and our two small children felt very much at home and our room had a nice big bath as well as a shower. The guest house has security during the evening, this made us feel very at ease. The breakfast was really delicious, a great variety to choose from. We will definitely stay here again.
I was pleasantly surprised with the friendliness of the staff and the consideration. They went out of their way to help where needed and we enjoyed the accommodation and view a lot.

We used River Place Manor as a place to wash off the dust from the Kalahari and Augrabies. It was literally like an oasis in the desert. Este was very friendly and efficient as were the other staff members. The room was spectacular and the garden was beautiful.

Great views of the Orange River with all the conveniences.
We were travelling through from the West Coast and this was the perfect place for an overnight stop. Very friendly reception too. It is right on the Orange River and the garden and pool were a welcome respite from the long hot road. The room and bathroom: spacious, clean and cool with tea and coffee, fridge and microwave. We loved this place.

River Place is very stylish and makes you feel good about yourself. The perfect linen was an invitation to rest well after a long journey. Dinner was delicious and we will stay there again if circumstances ever require it.
