85 guests' feedbackRiverside Manor is situated in the most beautiful area. The cottage has so much potential and we stayed comfortably. We had to clean the outside chairs and table with soap and water before we could sit there to braai. We found that a little extra care could be taken to clean the bathrooms and the main bedroom next to the bed where we had to plug in our phone chargers was so dirty with old papers, etc. lying there. The lights were very weak and the bulbs were not working, so my husband changed the bulbs around so that we could manage in the kitchen and bathrooms. We cleaned the light covers while we were busy with it. The property had a power outage, which in today's time we really have patience with, but it would have been nice to have more lights than just one oil lamp in the whole cottage. We could suggest power-saving bulbs and so on; magneto lights or flashlights could have helped also. No WiFi was available as advertised on the booking sheet. It was great that the ladies came to clean the cottage every day and put our towels in the dryers. The cottage and property are very homey. Thank you for a good stay!

Spent 2 days on a caravan site, perfectly quiet for those that want this. Being our first caravan camp site, we were not 100% equipped. The manager assisted us with all we needed.
It was perfect for our stop over between Port Shepstone and Pretoria.
Excellent prices for the stay, clean and neat would recommend to anyone who needs an escape on a budget. I used the facility as a stay for fishing in the area well worth it. Don't have WiFi and loadshedding is 4 hours a time. Fully furnished communal kitchen.

The accommodation was very neat and clean and the unit Protea was well furnished with warm blankets. Nothing was lacking. Steve welcomed us kindly. The lawns are nicely mowed and the place is very well maintained. The safety is very good. Can really recommend it.
Beautiful place and lots of space. We slept well. But the place was just very dirty and definitely not cleaned properly before or during our arrival. Carpets and floor were very dusty, dead bugs in the windowsills, floors and carpets not vacuumed. Bathroom rugs were horrible!

We camped for 3 nights. The pitches were very spacious and private. There is electricity, cold water, a light and a braai at all the pitches. It is very neat and well maintained. The ablution blocks and washroom were also clean and tidy. The river and trees make the place particularly lovely. Riverside Manor is ideally located close to Nottingham Road.

Backpackers can easily become a dirty place. The facilities at Riverside Manor were very clean, neat and well maintained - unlike the average backpackers. Although we arrived late and left early we didn't find anything out of place. The host was also very accommodating with our late arrival and early departure.
Incredibly beautiful and peaceful environment. The self-catering unit we stayed in was very nice, clean and tidy. Beds slept very well and the bedding was clean and fresh. The stoep was lovely with the built-in braai and nice view. We also had a great time swimming in the pool. Plus point was that our dog could also go on holiday together. Riverside Manor was a great place for us as a base to visit the central Drakensberg area. The location is beautiful with pastoral views and the Savoy Suite is a well equipped and comfortable place to stay. The owners, Steve and Chris, were very hospitable and friendly and gave us some valuable advice on what to do. Steve recommended to go and see the Wine Cellar next door, and we loved the place.

Very nice place, warmly welcomed by Steve. He is hospitable and friendly. The place itself is beautifully clean. Not what we expected, we wanted a rondavel for the weekend (not a backpacker room). Well, they say the more haste the less speed! In winter, cement floors, no bedding, also no place to buy it. For us the place was too far from the hiking trails, for this reason we were not happy.

We had such a nice stay here! The river that runs through the farm, the wine cellar just next door with the biggest variety you can think of, the swimming pool to cool off in after a hot day - everything was just wonderful! Thank you very much Steve for everything, we will definitely come again!
I would only recommend that families with children just make sure that the price does include the pool facilities. When we arrived it was said that our package does not include a pool so just make sure of the arrangements. Furthermore, it was peaceful and cozy.
Our little family was carried on the hands. If you really want to come and rest, we recommend the place! Then if you want to do something the Midlands Meander and Nothingham Road are on your doorstep!

We arrived in the rain and the owner offered us alternative parking. I forgot my suitcase at home and all my laundry was done for free. The surroundings are beautiful with sheep grazing in front of the stoep on the banks of the Mooi River.
The bathroom rug in front of the shower was disgusting. The microwave had old food and full of stains, dirty, the grill's grid has never been cleaned, the ashtray is pretty clean, no brush available for cleaning.

We enjoyed the stay very much.
I booked the accommodation for my parents. Very friendly reception from Steve, the owner. My parents are pensioners and get cold quite easily. There were warm sheets on the bed that kep them warm at night. We had to finish up a last few wedding arrangements and in the confusion we forgot to bring coffee and tea for a self-catering establishment. So just remember to plan for that. It was our first time in Nottingham Road and I would definitely recommend a holiday like this.
Had a lovely time camping at Riverside Manor. The campsites all have electricity and their own tap, just remember to take a caravan power plug. Steven is friendly and warmly welcomed us. There is also firewood available at R50 a wheelbarrow load. Will one day come back here.
We enjoyed the 2 nights at Riverside Manor a lot. Stunning view, neat unit with a nice braai/patio area. The kids enjoyed tha sheep grazing in front of our unit and played on the jungle gym and swings. Riverside is close to many tourist attractions.

The self-catering homes are tastefully furnished with antiques and the family flats have all the required furnishings to make your stay comfortable. Towels, linen and bedding are of a high standard and all beds are fitted with electric blankets for the cold winter nights. Custom Fireplaces and braai facilities are installed in the homes and the family units have indoor built-in braai facilities. DStv Hotel Package is available in the homes, Openview tv in the family flats.
The property and buildings are well-secured and alarm systems are installed and functional if required. Undercover parking is available, but limited.
