Anriette was a wonderful host, and the loft we stayed in was very neat and had all we needed. Great location in a peaceful suburb. I can definitely recommend it as a place to stay for people travelling through. If you eat out or have simple meals, then the loft would also work for a few days' stay. The kitchen has an induction stove and the majority of the small appliances needed to cook. It is more spacious than what the pictures showed, which is a bonus.

The owners were friendly and attentive and went out of their way to accommodate our specific requirements. The room was comfortable, tastefully decorated, and spacious enough for us to relax in when the weather wasn't that great. The surrounding neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet with a number of forest walks in close proximity which we would love to explore in the future.
I really enjoyed the stay. The unit was very tidy and the kitchen very well laid out with everything needed to cook.

Herman, our host, welcomed us kindly and immediately made us feel at home. The unit we booked (Tangerine) was very clean and tidy and immediately made us feel like we were going to sleep well. The environment is quiet and your car also 'sleeps' within the premises of the guest house with your own 'remote' to come and go as you please. The evening had been quite cold and it was pleasing to see that our double bed had an electric blanket. The bedding is clean and the feather blanket ensured a cozy and warm night's rest. We could venture back home the next day after making a nice cup of coffee. We can wholeheartedly recommend Herman's Guest House to those who want to stay one or more nights in beautiful George.

Upon arrival, they initially did not have my reservation. I then asked if they could refer me to alternative accommodation. A few minutes later, however, the problem was sorted out. Communication is quite a problem. In the sequel, I will just make sure I have a physical copy of my confirmation. However, the owner may not be so keen on me booking there again. But the location is very good and everything was very neat and clean.

We were very comfortable overall but I have always said that to know how well you are doing is to actually stay in your unit(s) and make the tweaks to say that you would be happy to stay there. My example is to ensure that you list that the shower is in the bath because that is on my list of no-no's, as older travellers getting in or out of a bath, especially one with a hip replacement, makes life a little more difficult. However a few things could be approved upon: The shower heads leak tremendously, wasting lots of water in ones attempt to wash properly. The blocked off/closed door next to the bed rattled profusely at night when it was very windy. An inside floor mat at the front door would have been very nice to be able to wipe ones shoes effectively when coming in out of the rain onto the tiled floor - I had to be extra careful walking in with wet shoes as I've had a double hip replacement recently and the possibility of slipping, falling and injuring myself is a daily reality.

We were 3 men in George for business, each had his own unit, furnished with everything you need. I was particularly impressed with the filter coffee machine! Rozenhof was perfect because everyone had their own space. Mariete received us very kindly and made us feel very much at home. The rooms were also cleaned every day. We will return for sure.

Thank you for a pleasant stay experience. It was our first impression of George and it was lasting.
The accommodation presented is misleading. We did not stay in the housing unit as advertised on your website, and as we had booked. There were also no plugs to turn on the electric blanket and so on. We had to remove our electrical wall plugs from our vehicle to turn on the electrical appliances. After a relatively long drive, guests would like to have value for money and relax, unfortunately this was not the case.
Owner was very hospitable. Very much appreciated that Herman took into account my parents, who have difficulty walking, with which room he offered. Place is modern, neat and in good neighborhood in George. Centrally located and easy to find. Would recommend Rozenhof if you are looking for clean, tidy overnight accommodation or need to spend one or two nights in George. Neighborhood is close to CBD but far from Mall.
