39 guests' feedbackThis is a lovely cottage in one of the best locations in Sedgefield. It is within easy walking distance of the estuary, and the excellent Saturday market is nearby. The cottage has everything needed for a comfortable stay. I will definitely be back!
We stayed a few nights while house hunting in the area and really enjoyed our stay at Sedge Cottage. Very friendly host. Very peaceful area. Lovely little garden. Comfortable beds. Well-equipped kitchen and it was nice to have a washing machine.

Lovely 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom self-catering cottage on the island in Sedgefield. Well equipped with a fenced yard for dogs. Neat and well equipped. Near Swartvlei lagoon. Excellent location.

The unit was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The washing machine was a bonus and the electric blanket and heater kept the winter chill at bay. The mattress was very comfortable, we slept great. I would definitely recommend Sedge Cottage.
Stayed 6 nights and was great to have a washing machine, electric blankets as well as emergency lights and a gas burner. Lovely walks around the island with birdlife in abundance. Great that property is enclosed for pets as well and there are a lot of things to do in the area. A well-priced cottage for a short break.
The whole family, including the dog kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Sedgefield is a beautiful town and we had a lovely stay in Sedge Cottage. Everything we needed - safe, comfortable and pet friendly.
My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at Sedge Cottage with our two Miniature Schnauzers. The cottage is very well equipped with everything that one might need on a holiday and the location of the cottage is ideal for a holiday in Sedgefield.

It was raining and did not braai at the unit, but we love the set-up and would definitely recommend. The unit is child friendly.

Well located and a very nice place.
We had a dog show near Knysna and needed pet friendly accommodation with an enclosed garden. The house is so spacious and felt like a real beach-style stay. The walled garden gave us the peace of mind needed to allow our dogs to walk around freely. It is located near shops and beaches but in a quiet area so that you can really appreciate the beauty of Sedgefield.
Sedge Cottage is a terrific base for our Garden Route getaway. We were all very comfortable in the well equipped cottage, we felt safe and really enjoyed the tranquility of the area. Our dog also loved the garden which was completely secure for him.

Sedge Cottage is an attractive cottage and the tortoises in the garden were fascinating, obviously a feature in the area. Weather was extremely hot so the fans were appreciated. We did, however, have a problem with the ants getting into our food supplies, so perhaps a longer term solution to this problem could be found.

Sedge Cottage was the perfect accommodation for us. It allowed us to spend a lot of quality time with our family and dogs, frequently walking around the area, the beach and along the lagoon. Sedgefield is our annual June/July holiday area and Sedge Cottage ticked all the boxes for or stay.
Sedge Cottage is a magnificent peace of heaven! More than a home away from home. It is one of those places that you feel 'at home' as you walk in. There are even a plug at every mirror! Normally I travel with extension leads because all bedroom plugs are behind the bed but a hairdryer is supplied at the mirror with no plug in sign. Really! Sedge Cottage has every possible shape of adaptor for our modern world available and an extension lead! The birds wake you in the morning and you can walk down to the lake safely to your hearts content. there are so many dog walkers out at all times that you can make friends while getting fresh air. Well done Cathy. You are an exceptional host.
