14 guests' feedbackWhat a fantastic stay at Sedge Island House. We were 7 people and the home felt spacious and welcoming. When we were home (because we were also out and about a lot ), we enjoyed sitting on the porch. The children enjoyed making up games in the large garden. The braai area was adequate, not much space around it, though. A portable folding table to work at while braaiing would be a nice addition. The secure complex is an added plus as the children could cycle around at their heart's content, and there is a beautiful central garden to also enjoy. Walking distance to Swartvlei for lovely morning swims.
The house is located in a gated community, close to the N2 and within walking distance of the Sedgefield Saturday markets. It is centrally located for visiting other places on the Garden Route. There are many restaurants and shops nearby if you don't feel like cooking. The garden is very big and has more than enough space for our small dog to run around.
We met up with our adult children, who reside in Cape Town, for an extended weekend. The house had ample space for the five of us, and although there was quite a bit of rain over the weekend, it did not impact our plans. The house is in a safe, enclosed village. We could take our fur babies, which was a huge plus. The house is well-equipped and provided all the comforts we required over our stay. Cathy is warm and welcoming and available to assist with any needs.
The house is within walking distance of the Saturday market. It is exceptionally well equipped. We had a wonderful stay! Didn't think we would need to use the washing machine, and we did! So nice if there is also a dishwasher. Can recommend this accommodation. The house is in a security complex with very nice residents. Could go for a nice walk in the beautiful, well-kept gardens.

Many thanks to Cathy for her kindness and beautiful home. Sedge Island House truly felt like "home away from home". The environment is quiet and safe. The house as well as yard was spacious and very tidy. We will return again anytime. We truly felt that our stay was worth every rand and cent. Sedgefield itself is a beautiful town with the most beautiful beaches. The sea waters are so nice! Again, thank you very much!

The house was neat and clean and the rooms were really pretty. We couldn't have asked for better and Cathy is definitely a great hostess and very helpful. The house was also well equipped and everything was in a good condition. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.
Cathy's reception was very good and we immediately felt at home. The house we stayed in was very spacious and offered free access for my husband who is in a large electric wheelchair. The master bedroom with bathroom is also very spacious for his needs. The amenities in the house are truly a plus. Everyone could spend the weekend in comfort without being "under each other's feet".
Excellently appointed, private and pet friendly! Safe and peaceful environment. Will definitely visit again.
