After a massive delay/mess with my flight from Cape Town to JHB, the owner went above and beyond on a Sunday evening, waiting for me until after 00h00 to assist me with checking in. The rooms are spacious, very clean and looked after daily. Great area, very secure and lots of parking. I would highly recommend the accommodation.
Unfortunately there was no shower in the unit I was in. They did have the handpiece with the bath, but they could make an effort to install the shower in the bath so that you have a choice to bathe or shower. There were also no facilities to heat food in the evening. Other units had a microwave. Cleaners also removed 2 pastas from the room from the previous night's takeaway on the second morning, which I actually wanted to eat the second night. The bed is only made up with a blanket and no duvet with a duvet inside. The breakfast is very limited, you didn't have a choice of what you want for a hot breakfast, and I feel they can do better for the amount you pay. The remote control of the gate didn't work on day 1 so I had to struggle to get food delivery from the delivery guys because I couldn't open the gate at all. I turned in the remote on day 2, and then was given another one. They can feel free to test the remote control before giving it to guests.

Only problem was no electricity in the morning and we couldn't make early morning tea. But we did get tea with our breakfast. Darn loadshedding.
Room was neat and clean. Unexpected luck that breakfast was included in our stay. Separate building behind main house where breakfast was served is beautiful. Transportation was easy, Über was always there within minutes. Very centrally located in Alberton.

I have stayed here before and the stay was pleasant. Same this time, except I had no hot water in my room for 3 days. The hostess apologized and said that the problem was bigger than first thought.
They just have to take a look at power, because when the power goes off you cannot get in at the gate.
I would stay at Serenity Guest house again anytime! It really is like home from home! Everything was just great I would recommend it to anyone!
