Each room is uniquely laid out with en-suite bathrooms as well as all the modern amenities such as tea- and coffee-making facilities, a mini-bar fridge, a hairdryer, and a TV with selected DStv channels. Smugglers' B&B, unfortunately, does not have a sea view.
A delicious 2-course breakfast is served in the large open-plan dining area or outside in the garden during the summer months. An honesty bar with a selection of wines and beers is available.
There is a communal lounge area with a fireplace and board games. Guests can relax next to the swimming pool in the beautiful courtyard filled with drooping bougainvilleas, succulents, and potted plants.
There are safe off-street parking and CCTV cameras that monitor activities outside the premises.

The WiFi wasn't working and couldn't eat breakfast because it is only served after 08:00 am but at least I was prepared with muesli and yoghurt which made it a lot better. But the place is really beautiful and I would definitely visit again. And I felt really safe because there was security patrolling the whole night. And the owner was really nice and made alternative arrangements for loadshedding which I really appreciated.
I stay at the amazing Smugglers' B&B every year. It's always so amazing to stay there. Friendly service and everything you need. I highly recommend it.

I found the website misleading. Honesty bar was not available on Friday night. Ansu filled the fridge after I asked. No sea view. Cars are parked outside. TV didn't work. Wires were loose. Ansu is an excellent hostess.

We stayed in Abdols' Cove for one night and wish we could have stayed longer! What a place. Lovely outdoor patio and pool! The breakfast was also amazing! Thank you very much, we will definitely be back again.
We wanted to spend one night in Paternoster, and the team at Smuggler's Cottage made it a pleasure.
I cannot recommend Smugglers' Cottage highly enough. From the moment we arrived and were so well received by the very friendly and helpful Chipo, to the immediate wow effect upon walking into our beautifully decorated bedroom with doors leading onto the spectacular pool area, to the lovely breakfast the following morning, we felt like we were in 5-star luxury. The cottage is located a few steps from a wonderful beach with boulders to one side hiding well-protected little alcoves perfect for little ones. The pool area demands swimming and relaxing, is sheltered from an off-shore wind if there is one and really does look and feel as incredible as the pictures. The communal lounge space is also beautiful and comfortable with everything you need from books to board games. Paternoster itself is just so quaint with some amazing dining options and stalls. Thank you so much to the owners for sharing their little slice of heaven with us. Our only complaint is that the next date we wanted to book for is already fully booked!
