Had a great time on the stoep. A few things to improve on. An upstairs shower would be welcome. Fans in the rooms would be fantastic. Store laundry rack to hang towels. A loadshedding schedule will help a lot. And softer mattresses.
We had a really nice stay. The view was beautiful. The house was neat, clean, safe. Equipped with everything you could possibly need. All of us enjoyed it, it's just the dirt road that was a bit rough for a small car but otherwise super nice.

Wonderful view and close to the beach.
A beautiful getaway, right on the beach. Stunning location, nice and clean. The only problem was we couldn't use the downstairs rooms because of the overwhelming creosote smell. Luckily, there were enough beds upstairs, but it would have been nice to have 4 rooms for the 4 people in our party.
It was really nice, now not very luxurious, but that's not a problem for our family.
We enjoyed our stay at Stokkiesdraai ─ clean, accessible and well-appointed with great views. We will return!
It was delicious. Kitchen is well equipped. We didn't use the lower part because the facilities upstairs were quite enough. It was delicious and we will definitely go back again.
For fishing and golfing it is ideal. Relax with the sound of the waves in your ears.

Will definitely come again. My family and I really enjoyed it even though my little boy didn't want to come back. Thank you Stokkiesdraai for your hospitality. We appreciate it very much. The silence is great and the house is wonderful.
Perfect view. Towards the beach. Big enough for our family. Not very luxurious, but more than adequate. Will definitely visit again.
The only reason I will not go back is that the beds are very uncomfortable. There is no Wi-Fi. The TV plug was not working and the Springboks were playing and the owner promised to send someone and I never heard from her again, until the following morning when I was inquiring about Wi-Fi.
The house is old but clean and tidy. Everything one needs is there. Was a bit confused on arrival as to where the rest of the rooms were but after a short search we found the 2 rooms under the main house. The location is excellent and it is just a few steps and then your feet are on the beach. It is not luxurious at all but more than enough to feel at home quickly.
Would definitely recommend it.
House with character. Double storey was inconvenient, because we had to walk outside to the lower floor. With the rain and cold it was not comfortable. Otherwise, the place is well furnished and clean for a quick getaway weekend.
Photos are a reflection of what we found in Stokkiesdraai, but the place is older and a bit more run down than the photos indicate. Some of the furniture was falling apart. We had a bit of a problem getting in when we arrived at the gate, but it was soon sorted. Fridge lolled (didn't want to get cold); we couldn't get help, later used freezer in garage. There were an awful lot of flies. Home's problem? Eerste River's problem? I don't know, but it was unusual and unpleasant. Idyllic location makes up for any inconveniences!
The house was clean and tidy. It has all the amenities one could need. The deck is the best part of the house. Will go back again anytime.
The position is really good. Lucky for us the weather was very good. Perfect place for fishing and relaxing.
Very comfortable and clean accommodation. Ideal for a larger group. Rooms on the beach need burglar bars so you can sleep with the windows open. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely cottage, beds are a bit firm but cottage has everything you need. Loved our stay and will definitely recommend to friends.
Exactly the tranquility I needed and silver clean. Beautiful view with a fantastic deck and barbecue in a perfect location. What more could one want. Eerste River is heaven on earth.
Although it is an older house, it is nice and spacious and clean. From the veranda you can watch the sunset and relax.
Would recommend that, the fact that the two rooms are separate from the house, appear in the ad. The rooms also have a very overpowering smell (moth poison or chemicals). The water filter and some kitchenware did not work. Would also recommend renovations to some of the furniture, curtains and downstairs toilet.

Eerste River is heaven on earth, and Stokkiesdraai is the perfect place to come and relax.

We only used the upper area. Downstairs shower was not usable. We could not use lower rooms at all due to a smell Maybe it was poison or maybe oil for wooden furniture. View breathtaking. Thank you very much. My friends and I had a fabulous time.
The facilities are old school but useable, clean and neat. We enjoyed the environment and had a good time.
The house and furniture are old, but what a view! I will go back for the sunsets and views from the deck. I just wish there was a shower in the bathroom on the main floor.
The house is old as mentioned but the bedroom next to the bathroom should preferably not be used because the (bath)rooms are not soundproof. We had to pay R200 for cleaning services, but in the kitchen there is a note saying no dirty dishes may be left, with no dish soap available to wash the dirty dishes. The extra bedding lies on the floor in the hanging cupboards (where your shoes are stored). I was very happy that we only slept here one night. There is also a R75 that we had to pay on arrival. The barbecue place has been talked about many times by previous visitors. You are expected to use broken bricks to set up the grill. I will not go on holiday/overnight at Eersterivierstrand again. Other places in the area I think are a better option/value for money.
The ad says there are 2 and a half bathrooms with 2 showers but there is only 1 shower very far from the main bedroom. The second shower is merely a hand shower. The house is asbestos partitions with a wooden floor that is quite noisy, not at all worth the R1580 per night. We also encountered human waste with toilet paper next to the braai. The braai is dilapidated and you braai on bricks. The round table on the pictures was nowhere to be found, and there was no DStv.
Comfortable old school sea house! Basic but convenient! Only problem: we had to get a key in Eersterivier and not at the Oudebosch Padstal like directions?
The home is well equipped with a wonderful sea view.
Next to the beach, peaceful, safe.
