The accommodation is too close to each other. The unit shares a wall with the neighbors and the neighbors' porch was right next to our unit. The other units are also too close. I do give the place four stars because of other factors. I would not recommend this lodge at all for couples.
The staff were friendly and the unit neat, clean and well equipped. My dinner, delivered in a basket, was a real treat!
Stonecutters' staff make you feel at ease and they are always friendly and willing to help.
The price was very high - I expected a spacious house. The cottage was small with very old neglected decor, curtains etc. Carpets were old and dirty. Don't expect more carpets in homes with how people convert! The house was very close to the main road and train track and very noisy. The reception/reception room does not offer any extras like a game or anything. Stonecutters are totally overrated for the price they charge - if the price is cut by 2 thirds it will keep up with expectations! We feel we paid hopelessly too much!
Wow! The food was fantastic, even though we made our own barbecue, and had a picnic breakfast, everything was top notch and prepared with love!

Lodge was quiet and thus we got upgraded to a more luxurious suite at no additional charge. Delicious food. Grounds around the dams and river is extremely well kept which makes for easier fly fishing. I will definitely go back.
Stonecutters Nature Lodge was all that we expected it to be. Nice, secure breakaway close enough to Dullstroom and Lydenburg for all your needs.
Beautiful destination, quite close to Johannesburg (3 hours) with enough to do for a few days.
From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty by Lesley and Margie. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was very tasty, rooms comfortable and very clean. The staff is very friendly. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway. Everything was perfect. Thanks again, Lesley and Margie, for the nice weekend.

Dinners in restaurant are very tasty, staff friendly and helpful. Well there was a shortage of hot water in the bathroom.

Spacious, tidy accommodation in a very peaceful environment. The cottage for 4 is well equipped and offers everything you need. Braai and firewood are plentiful and the manager was on hand for any crisis and made us feel truly at home. However, the ponds are disappointing without any fish. The walking route along the river is nice and open and offers a peaceful walk in a safe environment.
Really very beautiful, nice and quiet, well furnished and friendly staff. Had everything we could need. Sunday morning we were spoiled with delicious freshly baked "muffins". Thank you very much!
Would definitely recommend accommodation, but unfortunately can't say anything regarding not with meals.
At more than R1000 a night, you'd like something more than what looks like a double garage converted into accommodation: Two single beds pushed together is not a honeymoon king-size bed, and the place doesn't have a bath either not in The staff forgot to bring fresh towels one morning. The GPS coordinates are totally wrong and take you somewhere on a very poor plantation dirt road. In total they fail.
I feel that this venue is a bit expensive, but the service is excellent!
Stonecutters is a very well equipped lodge that offers many activities for everyone. The environment and nature is wonderful and a plus. The breakfast was very special and the food was very good. All the staff were very helpful, friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble. We will use Stonecutters Lodge as accommodation in the Dullstroom area again at any time.
